Mandalay Bay Resort And Casino

8/10 Good

"Rooms were well kept and the hotel was clean. The pool area was a little disappointing. The lounge chairs are too close together making it difficult to access and there are not nearly enough umbrellas for shade given the hot temps of Las Vegas. Inflatable tubes cost extra if you want to cruise the lazy river, which makes no sense given the cost of staying at the Mandalay Bay and the resort fee you get charged. A lot of “extras” should be complimentary, but they’re not. Overall happy with the property but saw many other hotels that seemed nicer. Would go back but would be interested in staying somewhere else first. Housekeeping + guest services staff were excellent. Front Desk staff were mediocre. We had to wait over 2 hours to check into our room upon arrival while paying for a Panoramic Two Bedroom Suite and the staff offered no comps until we requested that our parking get comped for the week. The previous guest had requested late check out which was 3pm, the same time we are told we can check in. They should really review their late check out policy to not inconvenience new guests checking in. High roller or not - treat all guests equally when it comes to checking in/out. Make your late check out policy 1pm not 3pm to give staff ample time to turnaround the rooms without infringing on the next round of guests. Wasn’t a pleasant way to start our stay."

"Pros: Very nice property. Well maintained, lots to offer. Great location. Beds super comfy! Cons: Waiting nearly an hour in line to get checked into our room. Getting locked out of our room as our keys stopped working and having to wait 35 minutes in the freezing hallway for maintenance to come change the battery in our door as well as making 2 long hikes to the front desk to tey to get this taken care of. Very inconvenient! Being charged for parking when we had no vehicle. Pool was beautiful, drink prices at the pool bar.....outrageous!"

"Furniture in the room had stains. Bed skirt was in rough shape with some rips and stains. I didn't expect to see stained/trashed furniture and bedding at the Paris. Other than this, it's a nice property and in a good location. Would probably stay somewhere else next time due to room condition."
