Luxury Hotels & Resorts in Whitemans Valley from NZ$119

"I stayed at this hotel several years ago for a 4-week period and it was amazing. This time I feel the hotel is tired. The cabinetry is damaged, the shower leaked everywhere, the heat mirrors didn’t work, neither did the bathroom vent. There was no mini bar, and the bathroom cosmetics are clearly refilled from bulk and never been left to be fully used making the formulas unpleasant to use and not cleaned. On two occasions we attended to seek staff support at reception and there were no staff available. At one stage 16 people were in the reception for one reason or another with only one staff member to assist. The pool and gym are also tired with the pool freezing cold and worn carpets. It’s sad that this is the hotel that is meant to represent Wellington’s best in hotel stays. Investment is needed. Staff however were great, friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to assist. "

"The apartment was very good, clean, comfortable had all you need for a short stay and making simple meals. Very handy for central Wellington and parking on site. Helpful staff and clean rooms. Don’t expect a view, its surrounded by multistorey carparks and the back of other hotels. Biut very few hotels in Wellington do have a good view. It was pretty quiet most of the night, as it's tucked away from the bars and clubs. However, what spoilt an otherwise excellent stay was being woken early (4 and 5am) by the sound of delivery trucks revesing warnings going off multiple times as they made deliveries to the hotels behind. "
