"Lovely clean property with lots of space and rooms. Gardens beautiful and accessible with seating. Adults and children really enjoyed our stay however having tv in the reception rooms downstairs would have been ideal. Kitchen was really well stocked with cutlery And plates but there was no basics like salt pepper oil etc. Overall lovely family home. plat3s"

"We had a wonderful stay at Settlers lodge. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped! Loved seeing the squirrels around the garden! Set in a great area for walking and exploring. We enjoyed both the local pub and also a takeaway from the nearby pub. Both we would recommend. Cannot wait to come for a return visit . Thanks again!"

"The cabin is far from as described and overpriced for the condition and cleanliness. The state of repair is poor - furniture both outside and inside is dated and in places broken. Hot tub had a dirty foam on the top - must have been used with fake tan/make up previously. The only good thing is that the owner is responsive and has said replacements have been made since our stay."

"The property was great - much better than expected for the price, well equipped, clean and cosy. Great village location and Rothbury is lovely - friendly people, good pubs, lots of independant shops and easy to walk dogs from the house. About half an hour from the coast. Too many places to visit so we are coming back next year! Thanks Nick!"

"Annabel was a wonderful host. She made sure we had everything we needed. The porperty is beautiful and so comfortable. We had such a great time and only wish we had been able to stay longer. A week wound have been Grand."

"A beautifully furnished lodge in a beautiful setting. Our only disappointment was that we never received a welcome email from VRBO with any of the check in details so this spoilt our initial check in but the host Wayne was fantastic Would definitely book this property again but not thru VRBO!"

"We loved our stay here. After a horrible nine hour journey we were pretty miserable when we arrived. However, when we saw the cottage we were delighted! The pictures absolutely do not do it justice. It’s well maintained, clean and comfortable. The beds were super comfy too. We were delighted to see the goats out the front the next morning and raced out to chat to them 😀 The owners are really friendly and can’t do enough for you. If we can face the journey again we will be back and for longer! "
