The property needs a major upkeep and remodel of all its facilities and rooms. Very poor maintenance and cleaning. Pedro father and son were outstanding.

I wish this property was still owned by Grupo Habita as our stay was highly disappointing and quite frankly, unacceptable. For the luxury hotel rates, their service and hospitality is borderline non-existent. We booked three rooms for our group of 7, where 3 of us were going to stay in a double room. The team proceed to tell us that only 2 people could stay per room after we had called a few days prior to confirm this was okay. The rooms are old and need maintenance with the sink and shower heads rusting. They have walkie talkies in the room for guests to communicate with the front desk and they were all out of battery. The windows were dirty. The restaurant staff was extremely rude, rushing for us to get out after charging us without even letting us see the wine list. We were in the hot tub and when we asked if there were any towels they pointed at a plastic bag saying “you get can them from there”. Clearly the Encuentro Guadalupe team does not know what hospitality and service means. It’s honestly super sad given Valle is such a gorgeous destination. Special shoutout to the hotel drivers, who were the only attentive people in the property. If you’re coming to Valle, please don’t stay here and choose a place like Casa Bruma or El Cielo instead. Maybe the Encuentro team should go check out one of these truly luxury properties and get a lesson or two on what hospitality and service means.

Beautiful off-the-grid vibes
Loved it here and will def be back! The rooms are small but very well designed with epic views. The shower was fantastic (was a little concerned there might not be much power - but it was lux). I absolutely loved walking out onto a dirt path in the mountains. And the pool is small but stunning with great food. Heads up there's no room service for food and pool food I think is closed Tues. But the area has AMAZING restaurants. Lunario and Deckmans are musts. We also had a sound bath/meditation with a woman named Mars who came to the hotel. Was all around a wonderful experience.

A unique experience for anyone who is looking for an elevated glamping vibe. The pods are built into the rock and provide amazing views of the valle. The staff was fantastic! They were available for any questions/concerns and responded quickly to our requests (shuttle pick up, campfire support, etc.) Absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to return!

Super unique one of a kind experience, will definitely go again. Front desk & drivers service amazing. Areas to improve: service at restaurant/pool bar. I had to repeatedly go up to bar to request service. Restaurant meal options could improve, a few couples while I was there asking for a simple chips and guac snack option but there's nothing like this, only fancy raw fish stuff. Both days I was there the snack menu was not available. The one day none of the "sweet" breakfast options were available on the already limited menu. No breakfast drink options for non-coffee drinkers other than juice, a chai or matcha option would be good. All in all these things minor and I'm not that picky, was still an awesome stay and I would recommend to anyone.

An exceptional and kind team created a lovely stay for our anniversary. Reception staff were both welcoming an informative, and helped us to get a reservation for an amazing dinner at Fauna. Gate and shuttle staff make it look easy to coordinate all of the transport of guests; they clearly have excellent communication with one another! Loved the peaceful pool and restaurant. Again-wonderful team running that space as well! The wildflowers are out of control right now, and there are plenty of walking paths to explore. Next time, I would try a loft on the canyon side. The view from the higher numbered lofts are on the valley view side. Lower are canyon view.

We loved our stay at Encuentro. We loved the views and relaxation from being out in the Valle. The room was a bit chilly at night, but they do offer space heaters and extra blankets, but those weren't in the room. The restaurant TOBA was excellent, and we'd come back again to taste their dinner menu. Overall it was an excellent experience.

It’s very pretty, however with the rain it becomes mostly uninteresting. Unless you have a 4 wheel drive, you will be stuck in the property since the roads become hard to drive, and also you will be confined to your room/loft because of the rain

Although the hotel site is beautiful and the chef was very good, save your money! There are many better hotels at lower rates in the Valle. The rooms were not maintained (rusted shower heads, scratched furniture, poor lighting) and basic amenities one would expect at that price were lacking. The rooms were far from the restaurant and lobby and lacked helpful items like a small fridge. The tasting room was closed, they sent us notice the hot tub was broken (although it appeared to be working) and staff were not very friendly. I asked if I could sit and have a glass of wine in the lobby while waiting for my husband and the answer was a simple no. In fact, no was the name of the game there. Ecofriendly hotels can still be comfortable and at over $450 a night, they usually are. Skip this one and find a different place to stay!

Weekend in the Valle
Very beautifully apportioned hotel, albeit with quality lacking on the fringes where it matters most. Pros Very secure and thoughtful staff made the wilderness feel like home Strongly bilingual staff that proactively provided insights on dishes to order at the restaurant to daily activities in the Valle One of the most stunning views for a hotel in true seclusion Underrated restaurant although albeit pricy for the region (to be expected though) Could be considered a pro or con but no TV in the room turned out to be a welcome reprieve Strong WiFi Cons Sunny disposition of employees was slightly marred by uneven service (e.g. delayed shuttle service, requests not fulfilled) which resulted in an average service experience for a hotel of this caliber Cleanliness / appearances were albeit tired with frayed towels and residual eye makeup stains. Some mold in the sinks and slightly dirty showers Outdated sound system that requires an aux cord to work Limited hot water (after 5 minutes it’s icy!) but assuming that’s part of the charm for being in a nature preserve Conclusion Overall I would recommend this location but just go in eyes wide open that the cost exceeds the experience for a similarly priced stay in the US.

Each room is nestled into the wilderness. There are beautiful views of the wineries and land. Access to the pool and restaurant is worth booking the hotel on its own! The staff are incredibly helpful, engaged, and warm. The only part that felt “glamping” was the size and minimal decor of the room. But worth it when you realize how much time you’d like to spend on your patio, with a fire, and glass of wine from one of the wineries! Highly recommend!

Great location, beautiful setting and friendly staff. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE rooms. Not minimalist, just uncomfortable. Shortage of hot water, frozen floors, awful lighting, cheap furniture, awful bathrooms with cheap shower curtains. MISERABLE VALUE.never staying here again

It is a good concept but the cost is to high compared with the benefits. It is suppose to have an onsite wine tasting but it is not always open in fact it was closed on a Tuesday around 11 am.
