"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "

"As in previous reviews, no internet connection. Strangely able to get netflix on both bedroom tv’s but not on the main one. Lovely living space & bed very comfortable. Good location on site and all areas of park dog friendly. Would return. Could possibly get better quality frying pans. Both warped when using. "

"We were initially given room 118. Incredibly dark and dismal. Would have needed lights on at all times. Not a 5 star experience, however when requested we were moved to room 348 which was much better. We weren’t offered a glass of fizz on arrival which very obviously everyone else was. We didn’t use the jacuzzi at all due to the extremely hot weather. Not the fault of the hotel. Reception area, terrace and corridors are beautifully decorated. No air con which we were aware of before we arrived but is needed in a hotel of this calibre. Also no fridge!!!! I found this incredible in a 5 star hotel. It was so hot in the room. A cool drink was a must!! The £12 charge to park your car is a bit of a cheek we felt. We paid £591 for 2 nights with no breakfast. for A hot room with no fridge, granted the price was for the hot tub but as there was no air con in the room we didn’t even take the lid off! A bit expensive for just the decor. Would be lovely in the Winter. I imagine it would be cosy with the hot tub being a great facility. Spa was lovely"
