Book a Troutbeck Bridge Cottage

"The stay at the cottage was good. It is positioned on a busy road but it quiets down later at night. There is a shop at the petrol station that has everything you will need for the stay and close to bus tops to take to Ambleside and Windermere. The beds are on the soft side but not uncomfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped but he had to buy paper kitchen towels, bin bags and dishwasher tablets. All in all, our stay was great. We would stay here again. "

"The property was perfect for our family, comfortable, clean, kind hosts and beautiful walks from the door (and of course the riverside hot tub). Thank you!"

"Loved that we could get a train into Windermere and enjoy the restaurants and bars."

"Lovely comfortable cottage in an elevated position with spectacular views."

"Lovely peaceful cottage..very clean with beautiful views."

"A unique and beautiful boathouse. Stunning scenery to enjoy from the veranda. Property delivered to an exceptional standard. Fabulous location for the lake, local walks, villages, pubs, and restaurants. We booked for a special occasion, and certainly were not disappointed. Thank you ❤️"

"Great accommodation in a lovely little village with fantastic views. Everything you could need to make this a home from home and only a 20 minute walk into Keswick."

"Excellent location and lovely property internally. Could do with a BBQ and some of the outdoor area is a little tired. Brilliant stay though and the decor and feel of the property is very homely"

"Really nice characterful cottage in a great location for hiking from the door with parking for two cars. Easy access to Braithwaite and the facilities and walks from there , and also to Keswick town centre. Would benefit from a more extensive ‘welcome pack’ and other basics you often get in cottages these days ( fresh milk , kitchen roll , oils and condiments etc ) but overall would definitely recommend the cottage ."

"Lydias cottage is a beautiful place to stay Great location and the courtyard at the back by the river makes it all so special Will definitely return ."

"I don’t really want to write a review. I want this to be a best kept secret. A proper farm house, A boot room for after a muddy hike. A huge kitchen to cook in whilst with your family, 2 living rooms ideal for when your eldest daughter has had enough of her family for one day and 4 generous bedrooms. Everything was neat and tidy. Will be booking it again. The garden was nice and as I sat in the window we saw a stoat in the run and hide under the stones."
