Breakfast was great, staff were attentive and the place was very clean. Theres lots to do close by, plenty of trails and next towns are maybe 5-10 mins away if you fancied more. My mrs and I were really happy with everything and would certainly recommend it to anyone!

A lovely, quaint and homely guest house with friendly, helpful staff. My room was clean, comfortable, warm and cosy. I was given a guided tour of the breakfast facilities upon check in and then shown to my room. The breakfast itself next morning was delicious and made to order. Rothay Garth is situated right at the heart of Ambleside, with all the local amenities only a couple of minute's walk away. There was also ample free parking on the premises. I would recommend this guest house and have already booked another stay.
