"A good budget option for a family or small group. About half an hours walk to the city centre and you can use the walls for part of that which is nice. Self check in via key box is very convenient and they sent a list of shops/restaurants etc which was also nice. Towels and sheets are professionally laundered which I appreciated. "Lovely property but some improvements needed. We really enjoyed our stay in this house which is so near the river, park, Bishy Rd and central York. The property does need some serious talc especially paintwork, outside space and some of the basics provided such as only one tea towel for a 10 day stay. The information for the house needs some updating also. It states there is a washer/dryer but it isn’t it is just a washer and doesn’t mention a dishwasher which the kitchen does have. Overall we...

"The only negative about our experience is that we could stay for only 3 days. The property was perfect - the location was near the train station, and within a moderate walk from most everything we wanted to do in York. Paul was an excellent host, anticipating virtually all of our needs and addressing them ahead of time. The home was clean, comfortable and lacked nothing."
