Bed and Breakfast in Easingwold

"Hotel Review: Elmbank Hotel, York We traveled from Canada to England to visit our elderly parents in Darwen, Lancashire, and booked a short trip to York, staying at the Elmbank Hotel from June 17-19, 2024. Before our stay, I emailed the hotel to inform them that two members of our party of five had mobility issues. Upon arrival, we discovered our rooms were up several flights of stairs with no lift. However, once we explained our situation to Syikeen at reception, she couldn’t have been more accommodating. This young lady, along with the other staff, provided exceptional service and promptly relocated us to the main building on the ground floor. The rooms were huge and perfect for our needs. We had a fantastic stay. The bar staff were excellent, and the meal in the restaurant was delicious and well worth the money. The entire hotel was clean, inviting, and beautifully reflected its old-style heritage. We would definitely recommend the Elmbank Hotel. Julie and Mark Whalley"

"The family room was perfect for traveling with an infant. We were able to put him to bed in the bedroom and still enjoy our evening in the living room. I would book this room again traveling with a baby in a crib. "

"We arrived at the hotel early, did all the booking in, left our bags with reception, and went into York. On returning we collected our keys and our bags were taken up to our room. I had previously ordered, as a surprise for my husband due to it being our 30th anniversary, a box of chocolates and a fruit platter, both of which were waiting for us. The junior suite was lovely and airy, looking out towards the garden and Minster, there was also a box containing biscuits and various packets of teas/coffees, and cans of water in tbe fridge. We had also booked evening meals, and these were very enjoyable and tasty, the burger for my husband and the fish for myself, followed by salted caramel ice creams. Throughout our stay the staff were lovely, very helpful and considerate and always available. When we booked out we left our bags with them until time for our train. Thank-you to all the staff for a relaxing time. "
