"Really enjoyable stay. Two adults, one night. Lovely hotel throughout. Comfy room, with bath and shower. Spa only a few footsteps away from our room. Complimentary drinks, and cake, because it was my birthday! 🎉🎉 Great staff. Friendly and professional. Comfy bed. Slept like a log. Walking distance from Darlington town centre. Fabbbb breakfast. Would recommend xxx"

Black Swan Inn

"Our 2 nights stay at the Black Swan was mostly good. Evening meal was very good on the first night. The bar was busy and had a nice atmosphere plus friendly locals. The room was comfortable, bathroom okay apart from the door which has noisy latch which can wake you up if you are a light sleeper. Some noise from machinery which kept cutting in and heard in the bedroom. Breakfast was okay but a little sparse for a cooked breakfast."

"We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Loved the different options to normal offerings with overnight oats and yoghurt smoothies. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely dog friendly hotel which we’d love to stay in again."

"Lovely, modern room in quiet setting. We booked room only but other facilities eg hot tubs were available to book. Comfortable bed and good shower. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room."
