I had a great one night stay at The Darlo Bar in Darlinghurst. The room was the perfect size, the bed was comfortable the facilities were always clean. I was out late on the night I stayed so can't speak for the noise of the downstairs bar at night, but I had no issues with noise during my stay. The team were friendly, helpful took care of my bag whilst I wandered the city on my second day. Would recommend for sure.

Lovely budget friendly stay
Great stay and a great location. Lots of cafes to choose from for breakfast within a short walk. Nice condition in the rooms and good bathroom setup. Bathrooms could’ve been a little cleaner but all around a great stay. Would come here again!

Great stay
Friendly staff in the bar. The room is cozy with clean shared bathrooms. Used towels were replaced with clean towels every day. Was expecting some noise from the bar downstairs, but surprisingly we didn't hear any noise from the bar. Overall a great stay!

Great place to stay in Darlinghurst for a quick stop overnight. I walked into an air-conditioned room on a hot muggy afternoon and slept on a good bed quietly throughout the night. The shared bathroom floors could do with a good scrub but apart from that I really enjoyed my stay.

If You Like Music...You’ll Love Darlo Bar
We chose the Darlo Bar for its position close to the event we were attending and also walked to all the major attractions although some are quite a hike. Aimee called me prior to our arrival to advise the air cons in some of our rooms weren’t working and gave us the option of finding somewhere else or a price reduction. This was really appreciated but as we chose there due to its proximity to the events we were attending in Rushcutters Bay we took the discount. The rooms and shared bathrooms were basic but clean with 3 toilets and 2 showers on the 2nd floor. The problem is that you are above a Bar (we didn’t think much about it when we booked) which has very loud music and on the corner of a busy road! Even though we were on the 2nd floor the music and the street/traffic noise was pretty hard to take. There are also plenty of places to eat and drink nice and close and it was a short Uber ride to the beach. The staff were always friendly and helpful when needed a couple of times over the 3 days. So...if loud music doesn’t worry you then you’ll be happy with the Darlo Bar.

Great location. Great staff especially the lovely man Tony who cleaned the rooms in the morning, he was so friendly and had really good tips and advice. Only slightly annoying thing was if your in bed before 12 which we only were once due to a migraine, you can heat the music a little bit and the fan from below. However bar is great has good wee nights on and great food. Good atmosphere and always people around so it’s nice. Brilliant location we walked everywhere. We would def stay again. Thanks

Quirky place to stay with bright coloured decor and framed record sleeves. Flats are above a bar so as long as that's your jam, you'll enjoy it too.

The staff were awesome and really nice to us, the rooms were cute and the bed was really comfy. The bar downstairs was fun and had lots of fun things to do and had nice food. There were a lot of fun activities to do near the hotel and I would definitely recommend and definitely would come back and stay again.

Arrived on a wet day, was hoping to be able to organise a early check in. Which is not available at all, zero room for negotiation. So much so that when I went to the bar at a few min past 2pm they still checked to make sure it wasn't a few min early. Bar staff were nice enough not accomodating but nice. Rooms are basic, as are the very small shared toilets and shower rooms. If you just need some where to crash and the hostels are full for a little extra money it will serve its purpose.

A nice place to stay with welcoming staff and comfortable rooms. Close to Art Gallery of NSW and Hyde Park - you can walk if you don't have too many mobility issues. Very noisy traffic early in the morning.

Convenient and surprisingly cozy
This place is just perfect for someone accompanying a patient to the nearby hospital. Rooms are clean, fresh and unpretentious. Great towels! As everywhere in Australia, window makers have a great deal to learn on insulation and you have to put your shoes on when visiting the (newly renovated, shared) bathrooms. But the service is efficient, discreet and friendly. I will be back.

Great Hotel
A real little gem in a fantastic location. Room was spotless and loved old style Windows you can push right up and have lots of fresh air.Staff were so friendly and upbeat. Love their style.

Wifi was terrible. Shared bathroom/shower facilities adequate. The doors to rooms and the bathroom facilities are set so they slam. Quite noisy. Cost was high for pub accommodations despite the great location.
