"The staff at this hotel were excellent. But the room I first stayed in was just weird with the most unsettling wallpaper I've ever seen. It made me very stressed and nervous. The room was below street level, in a separate building from the main hotel which you had to walk along the street to get to. The phone was dead and the TV had no signal. I complained and the next day my room was changed to the one above, which was better and had no ghastly wallpaper but was enormous and still in the same building down the street. I felt like a poor relation. However, breakfast, which was served in the main building, was excellent and the restaurant staff very good as were the reception staff who did their best to help. The location of the hotel is very good with shops and some tourist attractions just a few minutes walk away."

"I would have been happy to book an apartment in this building no matter what since I am a big Jane Austen fan, but what a treat to get to experience Maxwell's lovely apartment! The decor was unique and charming, everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the well stocked kitchen and bathroom were much appreciated. The apartment is conveniently located with Sydney Gardens directly across the street and an easy, pleasant walk to the city center."
