"Good gym and good breakfast"

"The hotel was close to the Byward Market and several of Ottawa’s main attractions. The room was clean throughout. The breakfast area was well maintained and well stocked. The attending staff was friendly through the whole hotel. The gym was good, although the treadmills could have been wiped better. The washroom was very clean, but the water pressure was not very strong, which made rinsing off take a bit longer than I wanted. Some may complain about the nearby shelter, but that was not an issue for us at all. Check in and out were very efficient. Thank you for a great stay!"

Parking was a bit expensive but has in and out.The only real downside was that the Jr suite come with a double bed not queen. This isn't clearly stated and was a disappointment. There is more than enough space to fit a queen bed, so why the smaller size?"

"Avoid this place! The staff are lovely but the hotel is old, not particularly clean, and just feels shabby and depressing. Awful bed. Weird smell and no proper in room air con. Terrible loud hum. Just go somewhere else. "

"We love staying here when we come to Ottawa! The rooms are massive with a full kitchen and sitting and eating areas as well. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. If several people are checking in at once, it's a bit of a wait because their process is slow. That is the only drawback we found. It hasn't stopped us from returning. The location is great and you can walk to several galleries and the parliament buildings easily."
