This place is perfect for families.
We had a great time. Restaurants were very good to excellent. Also, food is normally priced, not resort priced.
Food court had a good variety. My husband said the gambling was fun here. Pool is superior. Lots of room for everyone. Kids spent all day at the pool. Highly recommend this place. We visit Vegas a lot & have stayed in many hotels. This is our favorite.
This is a beautiful hotel about 15 miles away from the strip and our first time at the JW Marriot - Las Vegas. The property is well kept and nicely appointed but a bit pricey. We appreciated the fact that the main casino area was far enough away from our room, our stay had a very nice relaxing feel since we did not have to walk through the cigarette smoke filled gambling area each time we had to enter and leave the hotel. Parking is limited, they do offer a free valet but sometimes this is not convenient especially when you need to get something out of your car and always making sure that you have a few dollars for the tip.
This appears to be a normal issue for us but we find the AC in many hotels a bit too powerful. After setting the thermostat to 77 degrees, we our faces was constantly blasted with cold air, this makes it difficult to get a good nights sleep. On our 2nd night, we just opened the French doors and ran the ceiling fan.
One of the reasons why we booked this hotel was the swimming pool but we never got to enjoy it. We arrived late Friday for check-in and our next day Saturday was busy since the purpose of our stay was for a sporting tournament. We had hoped to enjoy the pool after dinner but was disappointed to discover the pool was closed after 7pm. Why is this? A reasonable closing time would have been 9-10pm. This probably was the only bad memory of this resort and difficult to accept when you see your bill with the daily resort fees.
The hotel was very inviting and had a modern feel. Staff was excellent and dealt with requests promptly. Travelling to and from the hotel was simple as it was just off a major road. Shopping and restaurants were all nearby and getting to the strip was never a real issue. I would definitely choose this hotel again.
Great place to stay! The price was reasonable, rooms were very nice and clean, staff was very helpful and nice, as well with the breakfast being well supplied. We would recommend staying here again for any future trips to Las Vegas.
