"The proximity to the gondola is excellent, literally across the street. This is a lodge, not a hotel but most of the properties in Tahoe are lodges/inns. It is an old property and it is not like staying at the Marriot on the other side of the street. However, the people are great, the rooms are just like the pictures, they have activities every day, dvds to check out, bikes to borrow, etc. There are also on-site laundry machines that are free to use (you just book a 2 hour block with the office). The bed in the one bedroom is a full size and tight if you are used to a king/queen at home. All that said, for the price, location, and friendliness of the staff - this is a great option for skiing in Tahoe. "

"The room had everything we needed and was recently remodeled. We were able to park right outside the door so unloading the car was very easy. The microwave and fridge came in handy. We parked and then didn't drive until checkout. Perfect location to walk to the beach, the Heavenly gondola and all the restaurants and casinos. Would stay again."

"Surrounded by tall pines and fresh mountain air, it has that classic lodge charm while still feeling comfortable and well cared for. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. One of my favorite parts was how peaceful the property felt that you could actually hear the wind in the trees, which made mornings and evenings especially calming. "
