The proximity to the gondola is excellent, literally across the street. This is a lodge, not a hotel but most of the properties in Tahoe are lodges/inns. It is an old property and it is not like staying at the Marriot on the other side of the street. However, the people are great, the rooms are just like the pictures, they have activities every day, dvds to check out, bikes to borrow, etc. There are also on-site laundry machines that are free to use (you just book a 2 hour block with the office). The bed in the one bedroom is a full size and tight if you are used to a king/queen at home. All that said, for the price, location, and friendliness of the staff - this is a great option for skiing in Tahoe.

Perfect location and price. Heated pool (in the winter!) and hot tub were great. My room was a bit dated and cramped, but still comfortable and clean. My major wish was to have some blackout curtains. But otherwise a very nice stay. I liked the donuts in the morning ;-).

This property was excellent. Room and property included a variety of amenities and it's location is within walking distance of a variety of dining, shopping and entertainment options. It offers a simple breakfast that was great! Also, the room has everything you might need, from cups to pots. They offer grills too! The room condition was good; however, the bed was a little uncomfortable. It is walking distance from all the stores and restaurants.
