I hate writing bad reviews and rarely do. But overall it was decent. We had a poolside room. When we arrived at 3:30am the bathroom wasn’t clean the trash hadn’t been emptied the shampoo bottle in the room was half empty. There was little toilet paper left and no tissues. The wallpaper was peeling back and what looked like was mold on the shower floor. There were tiles missing from the floor and some just loose on the floor. The shower didn’t drain exceptionally due to what looked like a design flaw where the drain was just slightly high. It did drain just not fast and the floor pooled up. We couldn’t get our heater working correctly after the first night. They had someone come look at it but it just took a while to kick out the heat. Asking to get more amenities either took a while or didn’t happen at all. My key card kept failing had to get a new one each day and was told to keep it away from any electronics or other credit cards. That was on my last day there. But, the staff were always very nice.

Room was okay, small nothing special and no way to store ski gear or towel hooks. Small fridge and microwave was useful however no extra toilet paper and when we ran out the front desk said they didn’t have any and said they could give us paper towels. Mind you, we had half a roll to begin with. We went to the store to buy our own toilet paper and dropped off an extra bunch at front desk for other guests that may be in same predicament as us. I have never had this happen before at any place I have stayed at. The front desk person did nothing to assist nor the managers. We also asked about checking out one day early and were told by front desk we had to talk to Expedia about that but Expedia said it was up to the hotel. It seems like the front desk staff does not care and will not lift a finger to assist. It was also loud and walls and ceiling are thin, we could hear the people above and on sides of us the whole time which kept us up. I would lot stay here again due to poor service.

To be honest, I’ve always heard a lot about three peaks was not what I expected. You’re paying the high price just because you’re in Tahoe the place ran down has mold in the bathrooms. The whole room had condensation on the inside. The key cards were barely working for the room for the Jacuzzi

Arrived to Tahoe at 9:45 am and called around 12:45 pm to see if we can check in early. The hotel said yes and when we got there we had to wait another 2 hours. My 4 year old and 5 year old were freezing and we couldn't check in until after 4. Our room was so loud. The people above kept us awake with their foot steps and constant banging. Our Christmas trip did not go as planned and was unfortunately not a good experience

We asked for an early check in as we were stuck on the mountain in the storm for some hours, the girl on the phone informed us the earliest we could get would be 1 or 2 pm and she would call us around that time, we never heard so we went to ask at the front desk and informed sorry room was not ready. We did not get to check in until almost 5 pm. The couch bed was broken missing springs, waited a while for a cot. The front door had a large gap for air. You have to sign a form to check pool towels out and return them to office. Walls are very thin and you can hear conversations in room next door. There is a sign in the room asking to conserve water and asked to reuse bath towels in the room. Do not recommend.

I’m not one to give bad reviews but I will share my experience as it would’ve helped me in the process of looking where to stay in Lake Tahoe and we would’ve never stayed at 3 Peaks. We arrived at the hotel on Christmas Eve at 8:30pm and when we go to our room the bathroom and main light in the bedroom were not working. We were at a standstill with 3 kids until hearing back from the front desk to see what they were going to do as we were told they were looking to see where they could put us. They ended up coming and fixing the lights around 45mins later. The room was very out dated and the heater was on the wall and to say it was dusty is an understatement. It was pretty bad and we were all stuffed up and could not stop sneezing. The fan in the bathroom doesn’t work even though it sounds like it does. The ceiling would sweat and when trying to dry up drops of water would constantly fall getting us wet again. There’s only one washer and dryer and it only takes quarters but the office doesn’t provide change so you must take quarters if you think you’ll need to use the machines.

The door wouldn’t shut completely and it was freezing outside and our shower leaked so we switched rooms. In the second room, we needed the maintenance guy to come to help us turn the shower on and off. Otherwise it was very quaint and the fireplace was lovely. Beautiful, outdoorsy setting outside :)
