"The hotel facilities were excellent. The beach was as described - wonderful. Unfortunately we were located on the 5th floor with no functioning elevator and small children. The room layout was as described but the decor and condition of the room was severely dated and in need of refurbishment. Stay away from the Mahi block until a refurbishment takes place and the elevator is fixed (otherwise you are forced to enter the block via the car park). "We booked St. Pete Shores Hotel (Itinerary #72071582369574) based on their listing, which prominently features a beachfront children’s playground. That amenity does not exist. It’s completely misleading. What this hotel does not disclose is that the property is an active construction zone. The entire place is under renovation—potholes, construction cones, fencing, and yellow hazard tape everywhere. Construction noise runs daily from 8 AM to 5 PM, including weekends. This is not a vacation environment—especially not for families with young children. The “Shore side” rooms (where we were placed) are in unacceptable condition: • Broken patio furniture with holes • Dirty toilet upon arrival • Cigarette butts left behind • Mismatched, worn-down furniture This is basic cleanliness and safety being ignored. We also requested adjoining rooms for our family. The front desk admitted there were still unoccupied rooms but refused to accommodate or make any adjustments. Zero effort to help. This was not a budget stay—we paid a premium price for what was advertised as a family-friendly beachfront experience. Instead, we got a construction site with unsafe conditions and misleading marketing. If you’re traveling with kids or expecting what’s shown in their photos—do not book here."

"I got a standard room for four people, and it was really small. No room anywhere to put any suitcases but other than that everything was excellent. Definitely will be going back and getting a bigger room next time."
