"There is a reason this hotel rates in the 3-star range. Definitely a historic building, but not kept up all that well. Rooms are very basic, cracks in walls and ceilings, and for rooms facing the street, no sound insulation at all. Location is great and the staff I worked with were super willing to help if asked. If you go, take shower items; you'll want your own."

"This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the Vinoy, the most I’ve spent on a room and the least impressed I’ve been. The manager at check in was rude and tarnished the vibe for the stay. For over 1000$ a night, I would prefer that the bathroom be free of mold, mildew and not have broken fixtures. The staff (bar staff and valets) were always complaining about their jobs within earshot of hotel guests. The only redeeming experience was our spa visit, which was fantastic as always."

"When you stay at a Hilton and pay Hilton prices, you should expect Hilton service. Stayed here for an awards banquet and wanted to support the hotel that was hosting it. I normally would have grabbed a more fun AirBnB that we have used in the area but I wanted to stay close to the weekend’s festivities. What I didn’t mind was the chipping paint, the water stained ceilings on the 5th floor, and the AC unit that struggled to keep up although it wasn’t abnormally warm and was on April. What I do mind is poor customer service. When another customer in front of me complained about the additional costs, the desk agent muttered about being tired of “everyone wanting something for nothing.” At that moment it made me reflect how EVERYTHING except the infused water in reception is an extra cost on an already Hilton priced room. I also watched as another customer service rep hassled an elderly woman about checking her bags for the day after she checked out in the morning. So while I was okay to bite the bullet for the initial stay, I will likely find other accommodations in a future stay."

"This place was disgusting, roaches and fleas everywhere! The microwave and fridge were not clean at all. The blinds were missing half of them so there was no privacy. The bathroom was disgusting, the sink and shower clogged and the water felt like oil so we couldn’t really use them. Overall horrible experience. During checkout the manager (who lives on property with a flea covered dog) went banging on doors demanding room keys back. 10/10 would NOT recommend. "

"This was a very nice property with quite a bit in walking distance. Everything was very clean. The kitchen and bathroom were a nice size and washer and dryer a plus! The pool and grill area were great as well. The only downside is that there is not a typical front desk and assistance readily available."
