"We had a wonderful time at Casa Escocesa! The property is absolutely beautiful and well accommodated for our group size (6). We all felt very comfortable the entire time and had plenty of space. The pool and views are stunning and we felt so at peace. Most special were our hosts. Elder and Elda were so helpful, the grocery and meal services made our trip! Elda is a fantastic cook wish we’d had her cook even more. They also popped in during the day to tidy rooms for us which was so nice. Also, house pup Winnie was so cute and fun. Highly recommend the property for a friends or family getaway it was perfect!"

"If you are looking at Villa Vidorra for an upcoming vacation, just hit the book it now button. The property is incredible, but the staff is even better. Manuel and Angel create hands down the best meals…so difficult for us to choose our favorite. What we would give to be able to bottle up his salsas!!! Luis has such a welcoming aura. He made us endless drinks, not a single one disappointed us, and every time the drinks were delivered with a smile. He makes a refreshing cucumber water, that can also be utilized in a margarita. Vicky and Mariana keep all areas spotless inside and out. They are master of their craft as well and willing to help in any way. Julio was there early each morning to make sure the beach was ready for us. We did have sargasso on the beach during our visit but this never deterred us from hanging out at the shore or using the kayaks and paddle boards to go explore Soliman Bay. The water is stunning and so clear. Barbara was SO easy to work with, connected us with incredible people for transport, excursions and answered all our endless questions. Everything was lined up perfectly and seamlessly. We highly recommend the mariachi band…they were a wonderful treat and made our last night at the villa extra special and memorable."

"Property was gorgeous. Plenty of room for our group of 8. The sargassum was an issue but this not the fault of the host or the home. It was an historically bad year for the seaweed. We still had a great time. Samuel was a wonderful chef and every meal was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Highly recommend Casa Tortuga for families and friends. We all want to return during the off-season!"

"What a wonderful week with the college aged kids! The property is a few miles north of downtown Tulum where you can get groceries, go out to eat, etcThe property itself was great! Nice pool, well appointed kitchen, nicely decorated. There is plenty of afternoon shade on the pool deck and the rooftops are great for stargazing!The property had maid and grounds staff that come daily (dont forget to tip them)Possible cons: summer seaweed blooms and the bumpy 3km road to the property- these are pretty minor and unavoidable in the area"
