Hotel Monterey Group in Shiribeshi from NZ$101

My wife and i were here for snowboarding, and really enjoyed our stay. The location’s central, has a Seicomart just across the road, petrol station, and a coin laundry within a stone’s throw. And a Coop (supermarket) just down the road aswell. The bedroom configuration is pretty compressed/tight but that’s not too bad. Everything else is great.

Small, cosy hostel with a cute Corgi named Hug. The staff of this hostel are lovely and the atmosphere is relaxing. Great place to stay if you want to explore Otaru

Fantastic location - close to Sapporo station, Stellar Place and walking distance to other locations. There is also a 7 Eleven attached. The rooms were new and beautifully styled. Fantastic housekeeping and friendly reception staff. 10/10

The cycle of washing machine is longer than expected

This is a really nice place. The building itself is architecturally wonderful.n As soon as you walk in there a calm vibe and the staff are really helpful and so nice. And that calmness permeates into their rooms. The room was clean, nice bed and the shower tub was a decent size. I highly recommend this place if you're in Otaru.

This was a very exclusive stay with excellent food using a carefully selected choice of Hokkaido produce as well as sake and wines. There is a shuttle from the Otaru Chikko station if you organise in advance but you can get in to Otaru using a taxi without any problems. We had an in -room onsen which was gratefully received and used quite a few times. Beds were comfortable but upstairs if anyone had trouble with stairs.

Great location, guest lounge and public bath facilities were great as well.

Hotel is pretty new. Very clean. Room is a little small. Booked superior twin room. Was allocated room on 9th floor which had a beautiful view of the sea. Difficult to hve 2 luggages opened. Very good location about 7 mins walk from Otaru station. When we arrived Otaru it was raining hard, so took taxi to hotel which costs 700 yen. Hotel is also within walking distance (10mins) to Sakaimachi street Otaru canal. Lots of eateries near hotel. Behind hotel is Sushi dori (sushi street).. lots o...

Beautiful hotel, only a few blocks from Sapporo station, easy walk. Breakfast was fabulous. Room was nice and spacious. Only strange thing was the gym didn’t open until mid morning and there was a charge to use it!

An excellent place to stay in Sapporo. Well located and presented.

The hotel itself is not too bad with clean and reasonably sized rooms. Entry by car was hard to find and on my last day after checkout, staff was almost forcing me to take my car out of their carpark even though I have parked there for less then 24 hours and said if I left car any longer I will have to pay an hourly rate. Not great experience.
