Meaning if you took the key with you and someone was still inside the room, they would be locked in even if the door itself wasn’t locked. Check in was done at the hotel next door which wasn’t a problem. The staff next door was nice though. If I was able to open the door without a key from the inside I’d give it a 3/5. Cheap room.
