"This hotel has been around since 1988 but it has maintained a high level of excellence. In fact, the age of the hotel gives it more pizazz than many of the newer once. The rooms look out on the lake or over the pool. The restaurant is very pleasant with excellent servers and the food is very good with a good menu selection. The bar is also worthy of note. Breakfast was included and was one of the best I have had in Guatemala."

"If I could give 10 stars I would. The staff is phenomenal. Because it’s a smaller property, everyone knows who you are and where you’ll be down to what your preferred drink is. The hotel arranged a kayaking tour, launch’s tour to different towns, and a tour of the nature reserve, all in a very short window. The pool is beautiful, the rooms are beautiful and clean and the food is amazing. I’m already looking forward to my next trip to the mid beautiful country. This was my first solo international trip as a 20 something year old girl and never once was I worried about safety! This was the experience of a life time!"

"We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful villa at Lake Atitlán. The house was very clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated near the lake with amazing views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and made our stay very special. Claudia was especially helpful with organizing and coordinating everything we needed, including massages, a cook, boats, and other activities. She made everything easy and stress-free for us. We highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Lake Atitlán and would love to come back again!"

"The property is excellent. The host Laura and the manager Levin went above and beyond to help us. We really appreciate their flexibility and help in our late arrival and check out as well. The only thing I would say is that the hike up to the house from the church is a challenge. They have clearly stated that but what I was not ready for was the unclean and unhygienic conditions of the path to the house - there is sewage and trash everywhere - if you can ignore that it was all great."
