7.4/10 Good! (3,384 reviews)
We were a group of 13 and had a great experience . We can’t wait to go back again. The staff is one of the best. They were so amazing , friendly and helpful. We have traveled to Aruba , Punta Cana and Europe but at Seadust best service. The food was great as well. The rooms could use some improvements, but it didn’t bother us. We got partial sea view without paying extra, where can you get that . We loved that everything was so close from beach, to pool and water park. Highly recommend for families. See you in November !!

8.4/10 Very Good! (3,583 reviews)
Unfortunately this wasn’t the best resort or experience. The food wasn’t very good. Especially the buffets, we had a hard time finding something to eat. And the Mexican/taco restaurant wasn’t good at all which was disappointing. My travel companion got sick, we aren’t sure if it was food or the water but be aware! The bars don’t open till 10, and some later than that so it was difficult to find a drink. You can only get water bottles from lobby bar, which no one would be at. Then at night, restaurants are closed and there’s no late night snacks/food/bar available. I believe your only option is room service which is an additional cost. The staff isn’t super helpful or accommodating in any way. We got locked out of our room for hours because the key card reader needed a new battery. This should have been fixed immediately but it wasn’t. We also were not comped in any way. There are not many bathrooms around the resort and they are very small. Wish it was better in many ways. Sadly to say we were displeased.

9/10 Wonderful! (1,036 reviews)
The Good:The resort and rooms are absolutely stunning with a true 5-star aesthetic. The property is visually beautiful and well-maintained.
The Not-So-Good:
Kid-Friendliness: A huge miss for parents. Pool service (food/drinks) doesn’t start until 11:00 AM. We were there by 9:00 AM, and by the time food arrived, the kids were hangry. Even towels and water are DIY until 11:00 AM.
Dining: Food quality was "meh" at best. On the all-inclusive plan, drinks were watered down, though tipping generously helped.
Arrival Logistics: Check-in was slow and frustrating; staff seemed indifferent to restless kids after a long flight.
Transfers: The paid "private" airport transfer was disappointing. It functioned like a shuttle rather than an assigned driver, leading to more unnecessary waiting.
Verdict: Beautiful resort, but the service logistics and rigid hours made it difficult for families with young children

Hotel Riu Palace Riviera Maya - All Inclusive
Avenida Xaman-ha, Mza 9 and 10, L1 Playa del Carmen QROO
9.2/10 Wonderful! (2,527 reviews)
My experience at Riu Palace Riviera Maya was extremely disappointing and did not meet expectations. The food quality was consistently poor. Most meals were bland or unappetizing, and we found ourselves skipping meals throughout our stay. Breakfast was the only acceptable option, though still average. ...
