Wonderful views!
Wonderful views! Nice breakfast and breakfast setting. Lots of steps to our top floor room, but worth it. Wished the jacuzzi was hot. Nadine had trouble with it.

Relaxing two-night stay.
Well-appointed, comfortable, very private room in a beautiful location with views of the Bay while enjoying a delicious breakfast . Nadine is the perfect host. Cannot say too many good things about Chalet Romantica.

Delightful place to stay in Paihia
My husband and I had an absolutely delightful stay at the Chalet Romantica. Nadine is the perfect host, providing a warm welcome and lots of great insight and recommendations on activities and restaurants. Her enthusiasm for the area is infectious. The chalet is very well located on a hill overlooking the bay. It is a very short walk to restaurants and the waterfront. Views from the rooms and terrace of the chalet are gorgeous. Our suite was very spacious and well outfitted. The toiletries were really nice. Nadine prepared a lovely hot breakfast every morning in addition to a good continental breakfast.

In tis New Zealand trip we have stayed in many B&B, and this was by far THE BEST. The location is wonderful with a super view on the Bay, Breakfast was awsome (with a view), the room is very comfortable, everything perfect. On top of everything Nadin and Inge (her Mom) were the greatest hosts! If we are ever in the area, we are sure to come back, and will certainly send our friends.

Perfect in every way!
We arrived to Chalet Romantica and were immediately stunned by the gorgeous property and views. Everything is as described in the photos and the views are even better in real life. Nadine went out of her way to assist us- even preparing an in-suite breakfast when our excursion departed around 6am one morning. This is probably the best B&B we’ve stayed at in NZ and would definitely come back if the opportunity arises. Thank you for a magical and amazing stay!

The attention to detail by the hostess was amazing. From the beautifully present breakfast to the ultra comfortable bed. This is one place we can't wait to return to. A special place that makes it visitors feel special as well.

Peaceful Place in Paihia
Nadine and Chris were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was not only tasty, but beautifully set. Nadine even gave us a beach bag with towels and sun block to take with us on our boat trip to the islands.

Very rarely can you give top marks to somewhere you have stayed but this is the exception. Not only is it a beautiful property but Nadine and Inge cannot do enough for you. Breakfasts are wonderful and the hospitality is second to none.

Beautiful place to stay
Absolutely beautiful position, fantastic sea views, stones throw from the restaurants and beach. Inge, Nadine and Chris were wonderful hosts and provided the best breakfasts in NZ. Nothing was too much trouble and their advice for sightseeing was really amazing. Would recommend to anyone

Best place we've stayed in a long time, worth every penny! Inga the host was very friendly and welcoming. We were upgraded to the private cottage and we're so gutted we couldnt stay another night and really enjoy it! Breakfast was also amazing. Highly recommend.

We stayed at the chalet romantica for our honeymoon. The location was beautiful location tucked on a hill at Paihia, the view from the balcony on our room was to die for. Enge was so helpful and lovely kind person, the breakfast each morning was fantastic too! Would highly recommend!

Pahia B & B
My wife and I stayed in the Chalet for three nights. Inge was a wonderful host and helped us with activities, restaurants and general knowledge of the area. We were able to do laundry which was great and still see and enjoy all the sites in and around the Bay of Islands. Inge provided a terrific breakfast in a beautiful covered enclosed porch which looks out over the bay. It was truly a wonderful stay in the Chalet.

Couldn’t have been more welcoming......I can’t express enough how amazing this place is.....the small touches were what did it for me and Inge is a truly amazing hostess. If you are staying in this area there is no other location that you should stay at. Thoroughly enjoyed are time here and perfect location for excursions around the bay of Islands.

Chalet Romantica lives up to its name. Inge kindly upgraded us. Overall a wonderful 2 nights. Breakfast was fantastic and Inge was a superb host - friendly, informative and attentive. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

B&Bs can be a coin toss but Chalet Romantica is a gem. Inge the owner is lovely and will make you feel more than welcome. The room and bathroom were spotless and the view amazing. Youll be in for a treat for breakfast... beautiful and thoughtfully arranged table. So sad we were only there 1 night but we wont forget this place

This is a wonderful place to stay. The Chalet is great. The view is incredible. Breakfast is probably the best we have ever had at a bed and breakfast.

Do not hesitate stay here!
Place was amazing! Inge the owner put her personal touch on everything making this a great experience. If we were not moving on we would have stayed the whole trip. Breakfast was amazing and Inge provided tips and tricks to nagavgate the area. 10/10

Wonderful stay and we were treated like royalty
This was a great experience! This is a high end B&B with the most wonderful hosts. Our room had a spectacular view of the bay. The house sits on top of a hill overlooking part of the town with views out the bay to the ocean. Our room had its own private balcony with chairs and a Love seat with views of the bay. A wonderful breakfast is included where the host, Inge, will cook your eggs to order. Each morning there was a fresh yogurt dish at your setting. There was also a fresh cut fruit dish, your choice of cereals, breads, croissants, cheeses etc. Inge and Edi go out of their way to provide all the help they can to make your stay as nice as possible. We would most definitely stay here again! There was also a very good WiFi connection which we find very important in our travels.

Lovely boutique B&B with lots of personal touches
Spent a few days there over Christmas. We had a lovely relaxing stay. The location is good to walk into town from, nice views from the balcony and an exceptional breakfast. You are really made to feel welcome by the family and I can't fault it.

Chalet Romantica was a wonderful place to stay. The room was lovely, with a very comfortable bed. The shower was luxurious. Special touches, like herbs and chocolate on the bed, cosy house coats and tasty cookies made us feel welcome. Breakfast in the morning was superb, with fresh yogurt, cheeses, croissants, fresh orange juice, great coffee, followed by a made to order hot breakfast. The view from the breakfast room was breathtaking. As good as the room and the food were, the hosts were really the best part of the visit. Inge, Ed and their son Alex couldn’t have done more to make us feel at home. In fact, it felt more like a visit with family than a stay at a bed and breakfast.

Absolute attention to every detail
Inge is a wonder. She gives attention to guests concerns and questions quickly and with charm. She thinks of the little details such as arranging tours ahead, having extra amenities such as hand laundry liquid in the room, and clothslines! Breakfast choices include eggs prepared to order, very fresh fruit compote and cheeses, breads, meusli, and more. She even drove us to the Intercity bus stop upon departure. You can see beautiful views over the activities on the bay from the breakfast room, terrace and decks.
