Our stay at this property was unfortunately far below expectations and did not match the listing or the advertised 9.8/10 rating. Several issues significantly impacted our experience:The listing inaccurately states that the unit has three bathrooms, but there are only two.Multiple areas were poorly maintained, including general cleanliness concerns.We were locked out after the host changed our door code without notice.Basic requests for additional towels and trash bags were denied, which made the stay more difficult than necessary.The host insisted that we communicate through WhatsApp instead of using the Vrbo platform, despite our preference to keep communication documented.We also encountered a cockroach inside the unit, adding to overall sanitation concerns.Finally, we were issued a fine without any clear property rules provided, despite asking for them repeatedly.We documented everything with photos and saved all communication, and we have been working with Vrbo Support. While support has been responsive, the proposed resolution does not reflect the severity of the issues or the additional stress and costs we experienced during our trip.We rarely leave negative reviews, but in this case we feel it’s important for future guests to be aware of these problems. We hope the property owner and Vrbo will take steps to address these concerns so that others do not encounter the same difficulties.
