"Probably best all inclusive we’ve stayed at. 5 pools, not super easy to get a chair with umbrella at the pool but ocean with shade was not a problem. Great long beach to walk. Saw many whales from the beach. Easiest accessibility to à la carte restaurants I’ve been to. Buffet was great too, lots of selection, were always able to eat at an outside table. Great staff!"

"The room was clean and good AC, but a major musty smell. The bed was quite lumpy. The Japanese restaurant was really good. Pools were well maintained. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Big shout out to Nehum, our favorite and best bartender, Omar, Eulyses and others whose names escape me from tower 6 pool area and the beach club staff. Thanks to all staff for keeping us safe and fed during the lock down. "

"Friendly staff"

"We had a mountain view room on a higher floor which mean we couldn't hear any street traffic. The property is in a fantastic location next to several malls and movie theaters if you feel like going off the resort. The beach is in excellent condition and the pools are well maintained. Only thing that I found disappointing was the condition of the gym. Lots of the cardio equipment was in need of repair and there wasn't a lot of weights to chose from."

"I’ve been to many hotels in Mexico, The velas did not disappoint. As far as the resort I would go back every year. We went as a family with about 10kids total, this is a definitely older crowd who gave the kids crusties when they splash them with a ball or screamed too loud. There were a few families and the family atmosphere is great! Very accommodating to large groups at dinner and always taking care of us. "
