"Beautiful view, room condition was very good, two bottles of water a day was excellent. Although this is classified as a VIP hotel, it is not and should probably be changed on Expedia. The pool really looks nice, but we never used it because it was totally in the sun until late afternoon. Overall, we had an excellent three weeks at the Mint. We love the staff. They are extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again."

"The lobby of the hotel and the room we stayed in were clean, modern and welcoming. The view of the pool, beach and ocean was beautiful. Our room had an amazing balcony with two sitting areas (one for lounge chairs) and a jacuzzi tub - all looking out at the beach & ocean. The pools were lovely for swimming - clean and in good repair. We were disappointed that we weren't aware ahead of time that there is no swimming in the ocean there - and it seemed, on that side of the island. In the photos it looked like a lovely secluded cove to swim or snorkel in, but that's not the case. We were surprised there was no elevator - it was a challenge moving our luggage up and down to/from the 3rd floor on the narrow staircase. The location is a short walk to anywhere in Centro - including Hidalgo St. with many restaurants and shops, and the main Playa Norte beach. The hotel entrance is attractive but kind of on a back street where we were surprised to find it. We felt very safe walking around any time of day. The staff were friendly and helpful but our limited Spanish was a bit of a challenge."

"Everything was great but it was the staff that made it really special. I would stay again. The room was spotless everyday. It has terrific access to the beach. The only thing is it is such a beautiful location that it is pretty busy, that said we were always able to find a seat."
