"Was really excited about this stay and it was the most disappointing hotel we experienced after a month in NZ. The photos were deceptive. The rooms are small and basic, very basic amenities in room, the shower floods, the bed and pillows not comfortable. Forget about the restaurant for dinner unless you book well in advance- they take a deposit and if you're not in the 48 hour cancellation window you lose your deposit. Staff seemed inexperienced and not as helpful as they could have been. Construction next door changed the setting with noise and view. The breakfast was good. We took Ubers and taxis back and forth because if the distance from town. Overall I'd say don't be fooled by the photos because it's a basic hotel for the price. "

"No help with our luggage. Travelled with my 88 and 83 year old parents. And it is NOT for them. And not for me too. aside from walking up we had to walk further up for the rooms. I expected more."

"Parking at this location for suite is limited and very tight. I could not open driver side door wide enough to get out on my rented Toyota Auris when parked next to another car. Had to park on the street and moved it to another empty spot the next morning before 8 a.m. Room is outdated with dinky carpet and damp walls. But good location and good value for one night stay."

"No air conditioning, room was very warm and street noise loud so leaving the window open at night was problematic. We didn’t see that there was a fan in one of the closets until we were leaving which would have been helpful. "
