"I liked the easy access from the motorways near Chester & the co-location of service station EV chargers or the option of using your own cable for slow 13A overnight charging for a modest fee payable to the hotel. It was very quiet- I did not notice any noise at night from the service station. All room amenities were in good order. Breakfast was good value but fairly basic. Croissants were an unexpected option. My only dislike was that there were no meal options except breakfast when I stayed. The service station had the usual fast-food outlets but I prefer a substantial meal in the evening. I shopped from supermarkets en route to the hotel as I had been aware of the likelihood of limited catering so it was not a big issue as I stayed twice but not on consecutive nights. I understand why the hotel does not currently offer evening meals as many customers would prefer the options at the service station building {within a very short walk}. The staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient. I will stay there again on my next trip to the area"

"Friendly staff, a clean spacious room with a comfortable bed. A view of the canal. Lots of choice at breakfast. A lovely gesture that the children eating breakfast were given bags of food to feed the local ducks! What more can you ask for?"

"We were given a beautiful room with leaded windows and a huge comfortable bed. Fab grounds and told about Spa but didn’t have the energy! Breakfast was nice and self service but no crispy bacon. Bar closes at 11pm so after returning from a great night out we weren’t allowed a drink, however, had we had time on arrival to read their info we would have been aware. One teabag in room and Earl Grey! None of the pods left for the coffee machine and only decaf coffee sachets in the box so was a let down as like cuppa before bed.."

"Amazing stay in this gorgeous house! Photos don’t do it justice, so spacious and they have thought of everything for your stay. Incredibly comfy beds, great communication from the host and a fantastic location. A quiet rural area but 15 mins to Chester. Could not recommend this place enough! Thanks for a great stay."
