"Good spot, we missed the reception (but got keys ok from lockbox). We had a cabin, it was a bit smaller than the photos showed but was a nice spot to rest for the night. "

"I stayed for 3 nights during local trail running race event. The place is really tidy and well maintained. I sensed the owners' passion for this place and Tongariro region. The kitchen is spacious, has large fridges and everything you need. You can bring your own food and cook without any hassles. The lounge is even better with pool table and table tennis table. There are two decent restaurants, a petrol station and 4-square supermarket nearby, so you can find all the essentials. "

"The bed was comfy, room was cozy, close to national park and restaurants. Hot tub area needs some attention. Chairs were worn and cushions moldy. No instructions on how to work hot tub. TV only has 13 channels. Otherwise perfect for 1 night."

"Nice location and nice stay. We only had a one night trip in March which we had to do with skiing. Central location for visiting the park This place is set up for skiers. Actually the entire town is, and this maybe one of the nicer ones judging by walking around town. It was roomy for the 2 and could sleep at 6 comfortably. The deck was nice and the kitchen. On the flip side there was no bbq to be found as advertised and no heat for our chilly night. The wood stove could easily have been used if need be though. The total price was too much. Overall though, very nice place. "

"Very handy to the Tongariro crossing and National Park. Warm and cosy. Easy parking. Very well equipped kitchen. Only one change I would request and that is to have it detailed that it’s recommended to take your own sheets, towels and tea towels when booking. "
