Staff were very pleasant. We were a little disappointed with the room - fridge, kettle, cups and one teaspoon provided but no detergent or cloths to clean them. The bathroom was compact, as was the bedroom (maybe remove the 2 large chairs and replace them with something that takes less room?).

Convenient location for Tongariro Alpine Crossing. The hotel can help with transfers. The place is rather outdated and a little scruffy (motel standard), but the beds are comfy and the staff very friendly. Breakfast and packed lunches are available, but quite unappetising.
The room was very nice and comfortable. Good restaurant. The room was in the second floor with no lift and was quite difficult to carry our cases o the room
This is a gem of a hotel in the National Park Village. We loved the location, Spiral Restaurant and the communal gathering areas in the restaurant and bar. Everything was super clean, staff were capable and friendly. The views of the mountains at sunset in front of the hotel are special.

The room was clean and well-maintained, but it could benefit from better soundproofing, as noise from guests walking above was quite noticeable. Additionally, the rooms are on the smaller side, and while the lovely windows offer nice natural light, they lack privacy since passersby can easily see inside. Installing sheer curtains could enhance privacy without sacrificing the view.
Friendly helpful staff who provided info on local area. Comfortable reasonably priced variety of rooms with access to free drying room after coming from snow. Will definitely stay again & highly recommended
We had a wonderful 3 night stay in a king room on the ground floor. Very convenient for driving to Whakapapa ski field. Cosy bar and dining room for the evenings, and pleasant staff. Note for future guests, the bathroom is very small. Daily room service available if desired. We will stay again.
