"Very disappointing. Got 5 rooms for a week. mine did not have a phone. was told by the lady manning the reception that they got in touch with me about it when THEY DID NOT. Plus she rudely just shrugged it off as something I had to live with. REALLY? Whats worse - the room shares a room with a club. So when the holiday came in and the weekend it was SO LOUD! Not to mention the room was not cleaned twice when i asked for it to be cleaned. I just have to say -- its REALLY disappointing hence my feedback. There were some members of the staff who were very nice and accommodating not only the rude young lady. Rooms are dated as well and the hotel does not have a car access for easier ingress and egress. Not to leave everything in a negative light, the location was great! Its right smack in the center of the happening. So thats something good about the hotel. "

"A quirky hotel in a great location with friendly and helpful staff. The only negative was stairs leading up to reception and lifts. Could be difficult with luggage and someone with a disability. Having said that there is a wheelchair lift which took our luggage and my husband up to the reception. Other than that hiccup which was wonderfully addressed by staff, l highly recommend this hotel."

"There are hotels that welcome you with open arms, and there are those that greet you with a shrug and a hard hat. My overnight stay at the Mercure Sydney fell—quite spectacularly—into the latter. Any optimism evaporates upon entering a foyer that resembles a mid-demolition worksite. Not a design choice so much as a declaration of indifference. The room (312) was… intimate. Not boutique-intimate—cupboard-intimate. Everything within arm’s reach, including one’s own existential doubt. The bathroom’s vanity is positioned so close to the toilet that one’s knees are introduced to it immediately and without consent. Sleep, the one essential service, failed. No spare blanket, ineffective air conditioning—an experiment in mild suffering I did not agree to. Placed on the lowest floor beside a busy road, one feels less like a guest and more like a logistical afterthought. Would I return? Only for research into construction aesthetics and the limits of human knee placement. Standing by for the standard corporate and/or AI response…"

"Everything was good. But the day I checked out, I went out for breakfast and was going to take a nap before checking out. The battery on my door handle was dying so my card didn't work and I went back and forth (my room and reception) a lot of times to find out it was a battery problem - I had to show them a recording of the doot not working. The staff opened the door for me in the end, but it was a lot of back and forth and my room was at the far end. I didn't have time to nap in the end and there was no apology from the staff, even when I checked out. Ruined my last day. Room also not sound proofed well"

"Thus hotel is perfect. Great location. Great decor and vibe. All in a very nice condition. We loved being there. Rooms were comfortable and the bed and bedding top quality. We slept like babies 😎 Highly recommended. "
