I love how the modern and chic room blends well with the historical building. It is also a 2-minute walk from Museum Station which is where the airport line (T8) stops at. The train ride from the domestic and international airports is very short and costs only AUD1.

The hotel is a new build and is in a great location, short walk to two stations and Barangaroo. I stayed for business with my partner and we both enjoyed the accommodation and location. If you are a light sleeper it is in the middle of the CBD so sirens and traffic noise should be expected but is minimal. Food at the restaurant was great and the drinks are reasonably priced, will use this facility again.

Porter House Hotel ticks all the boxes and was very well located for our purposes. The room we had was nice, had all the amenities and was spacious enough … although the bathroom layout compromises privacy for function. The restaurant breakfast was very good, although dinner in the same restaurant was disappointing. Although “5 star” rated, the hotel falls short of luxurious. We would return again for a weekend stop … but not for a luxe getaway.
