"Adeline was as very welcoming and attentive host. She kept us in supply freshly ground coffee and lent her red light torch for Kiwi spotting. The traditional NZ bach, is ideal for getting away from all the mod cons and just getting back to basics. It is well located to Russell township and the Opua ferry. Highly recommend if you are looking for a different experience to the polished hotels. "

"This is such a lovely retreat, all credit to manager Kelly and her family. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and it was much appreciated. The refurbished rooms were nice, clean and warm and the private shower was awesome. We had an awesome time and were lucky to see two kiwi on the grass near the bush even though it was raining, and we heard lots more. It was really magical!"

"We booked the Sunshine House for three generations to celebrate my Mum’s 65th birthday. It is a fabulous location, walking distance to Long Beach and Russell. The house is perfect for hosting a wide range of ages with multiple living zones and a number of bedrooms. Awesome views and indoor/outdoor living with a great deck. A full kitchen makes catering for babies, kids & adults easy and we liked being able to use the Weber BBQ. The hosts were easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We would definitely recommend this bach as a holiday destination. "

"We were meant to be 6 adults and 4 children but circumstances reduced our numbers. But we continued with this booking and were so glad we did. The place looks smallish from the road but it is a very good size inside with everything you could need (except a clothes dryer - which doesn't seem to be a Kiwi thing). We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to coming back with the full family group."
