"Only the bed is very small and the room has no airco. Staff is perfect as well as the cleanliness of the room. (If you find it). And for this reason we can back this year. Also the area is perfect for a little shopping. We'll be back."

Have stayed in Lyndhurst a number of times and really like it there. Plenty of eateries and shops to browse. Easy access to The New Forest where you can see the ponies and their foals also donkeys.

There are some fantastic places to eat and drink around Lynhurst, such as The vibrant Tap and Mettrix. Had food in the latter and could not complain about it. The local bakeries are goid Bike hire is a good price, transport every hour.

Everywhere we went the local people were friendly and helpful. We had dinner the first night in the hotel and then were spoilt for choice of restaurants and pubs for the next 3 nights. We did 2 lovely circular walks ending in the Fox and Hounds.

Good
Lyndhurst is a lovely village as a base for exploring the New Forest. It's a shame that traffic through the village is often very heavy.

Lyndhurst is nice, shame about the traffic passing through at rush hour
"This is the second time staying at the hotel and it’s been very good, the only areas that could be improved are the breakfast selection and the rooms having air conditioning. "
"Here as a wedding guest. Staff were excellent, very good sized room with all needs catered for. I found bed very comfortable although not for those who prefer it softer. Only fault was we had an iron but no board. I coped. Happy guest"
"It was clean, staff was very helpful and answered our questions as far as how to get around to London. They also kept our luggage at their office until we got a room. They also let us into our room ahead of scheduled which was nice after our disembarkation from a long cruise. Breakfast was really good as well. Highly recommended it!"
