Quick Retreat
Iconic original kiwi Bach untouched. The perfect location to enjoy Bream Bay. Fished (launched boat at Marsden Marina), swam, ran the coastal track between Langs and Cove, explored new Langs native bush trails opposite public toilets, walked the beach, enjoyed infamous Zippys fresh fruit ice cream, dined at ‘the Cove’. Options to pick up supplies close by at Mangawhai or Waipu. The Bach has everything you need including a mouse trap which we used to trap 2 mice. The Bach does require some TLC. The washing machine was out of order at the time of our stay but we were pre warned and prepared. Recommend taking some mosquito repellent for those hot humid nights. Yes the batch is highly priced but you are paying for location. Yes the batch is surrounded by other houses but there is a view to the water and it is very sheltered and private.

We didn't stay, property flooded
At the last minute we were re-routed to Magical Waiupo Cove, so we cannot comment regarding Langs Beach

Dog friendly and close to the beach
Great little cottage which is dog friendly and in a fantastic location. One house back from the beach & across a road, and you are on white sandy shores. The covered deck is a bonus if the weather turns, with a good little BBQ and outdoor furniture. The cottage is basic but has all you need, and is warm! The bathroom is seperate from the house, but no hassle getting to it via the covered deck. Shower is good with great pressure! The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, fridge, oven and all utensils and dinnerware you could need. We loved sitting on the deck in the evening and having a glass of wine and listening to the ocean. One thing to be aware of is there is no driveway and you need to park up a steep bank on the road. Not too much of an issue to take your things to and from, but good to be aware of it.

A vintage gem
We loved staying in this tidy 1940s bach just a short walk from the sea. It brought back childhood memories and was cosy in the cold, and lovely in the sun. The back lawn was quite wet (late August rains) and as we parked up on the road, we did a lot of shoe changing after walking up the hill to the car - if I was staying here again I'd pack gumboots.

Langs beach
The Bach, was was well set out, comfy, nice big deck area, but treacherous in wet weather, causing us both to fall, no vehicle access,no access to bathroom from inside house.
