"We rented this place out for 5 adults staying for 3 days for the Kendao Mountain Festival. Great location for the festival and for exploring nearby via car. The place was big enough for us as a close group of friends and we had everything we needed. Really friendly and responsive host!"

"We absolutely loved our stay at this gorgeous cottage. Everything one could need in the cottage and in such a beautiful location. Walks from the front door! A short drive into Windermere and the rest of the Lake District too. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay here again. "Wonderful location - woods, rivers, fells all available from the doorstep. Swam in Gurnal Dubs on New year's day! Dark sky area so fabulous stars. Well designed, warm, studio and furnished to a high standard. The air fryer was a revelation!Few details would have made it 5 star- plates are cracked, some items were not clean on arrival (chopping board, teapot) and an extra blanket/more logs would have be nice given it was winter. "Farleton View in itself is an excellent holiday home, very warm, comfortable and well equipped, lots of books and guides and a really good kitchen. Big picture windows in living room and dining area give extensive views to the south. Kendal is only six minutes drive away with lots of shops. Our only reservation is that maintenance leaves something to be desired, one light bulb in the bedroom was out and the light switch in the smallest bedroom did not work; this had been reported by a previous...

"Comfortable, well equipped 2 bedroom lodge with the living room, kitchen, bathroom, garden, parking space. Very kind owners always ready to talk. Property surrounded by a beautiful nature - green hills, farm animals. Not far are nice trails for hiking. Kendal is only 6 miles away. I recommend this place and I want to come back in the future."
