Kealakomo Tours and Activities

Stayed at this hotel for one night before heading home from vacation. We were told we had to pay for amenities but didn’t even have time to use them, which was a huge waste of money. Also, we were hoping to get a good nights sleep before a long 24hr-day of travel, but unfortunately, we were on the 3rd floor and the area was extremely noisy and kept us up until 2AM. Despite this, the staff were friendly and the lobby and room was kept very clean.

Clean room, friendly and helpful staff. The bed needed replacement as it had noticeable wear / sagging, but otherwise the room was nice and in good shape. There is a resort fee and, if you plan on parking a car a mandatory valet parking situation that add a substantial amount to the per night cost. The "resort fee" should just be included in the room rate so you know exactly what you are getting up front, and explain the parking issue as well as the cost of the parking in the booking form so travelers can make a more informed decision when booking.

The room was gorgeous! Bravo for the elevated and tasteful decor. The exterior does need a little facelift here and there as it is an older hotel, but there is a "classic," old Hawaii charm about it. Bell Attendant was a bit pushy when we did not let him take our bags before check in - asking repeatedly - when guaranteed check in was only 30min out. Other than that, the staff at the Veranda was so nice and cheerful and dinner at Arancino was amazing. This is a great option to stay outside of Waikiki.
