Stayed only one night. We were upgraded to a deluxe suite upon arrival. Very friendly staff. Easy checkin. From the moment of arrival it feels like a 5 star hotel. Love the rooms. Clean, comfortable, rooms. We had a wonderful view of Karon Beach from our balcony.
The centara was a good place to stay in karon with good access to the beach and also close to lots of bars/restaurants so you have a choice of the quieter oasis of the hotel or a more 'thai' experience in town. The hotel is nice but showing age a little and the staff are very pleasant. My only slight wrinkle was over payment of the bill, make sure you get a receipt!

Great location and central for walking. Quick trip out front of hotel and you have 7 eleven and family mart for basic supplies. Out the back of resort you have markets and great variety of food places and stalls to eat. Walk from front to back takes in lots of shops and only takes about 20min. You go right along Karon Beach. Prices in hotel reasonable. Would have liked the main pool to be open a bit later and would have liked a computer centre with printer. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Beyond for 6 nights last week. The hotel is in a fantastic location, right on the beach and close to restaurants, convenience stores (there is one next to the hotel) and little shops and market stalls. There are 2 pools, one with a swim up bar, and all drinks are reasonably priced (tax is included and no service charge, unlike the resort where we are now). Breakfast is very well presented with a hot food station for eggs, omelettes, etc. The view over the ocean is great while eating. It is for adults only.
The beds and pillows were very comfy. Only a few criticisms: rooms need to be jazzed up with some paintings or prints as they are rather sterile. There is no wifi in the room. No flannels (had to ask for them and they were supplied- very unusual). Guests reserve their sun lounges very early in the morning and often leave them for hours so in busy times, you may miss out.
The staff, as anywhere in Thailand, were friendly and very helpful. But if your enquiry was more than just routine it paid to ask for a staff member with better English, there was usually someone available. The first night we didn't like the double bed in our room, not used to sleeping in one bed together, so we asked for twin beds after the first night. This was no problem and quickly organised.
There were no restaurants operating in the hotel, apart from the breakfast room. Breakfast was great, with a good selection of eggs made to order, fruits, cereals, breads, etc. The coffee and tea could be better.
We came in the "wet" season, which meant very comfortable temperatures of around 30degr C In the 7 days of our stay we had one very heavy downpoor, but otherwise no rain to speak of. I would go again in this time of year, since Karon Beach was not too busy. Always seats available in restaurants etc.

I bought the package with breakfast. Varieties are very limited and is mostly repeated. Walking distance to Karon Beach easily accessible to shops and eatries. All the staffs are very friendly, helpful and always put on a smile to greet us. Upon check in is my brother's birthday and they prepared a birthday card and balloons in my brother's room before he check in. My birthday was on the 2nd day. After coming back from my day trip I saw 2 balloons in my room too. Very sweet of them.
The only bad point that we faced was the water pressure is very small. Hot water comes in only 4 to 5 mins after we on the shower. The water is not able to fill up the bathtub in time.
Only 3 km south of Patong, this beach is famed for its five-kilometre long white beach sand that squeaks under your feet. Mostly single row sunbeds decked along the stretch offer unsurpassed and unblocked views. Turtles are periodic nocturnal visitors to the beach. Recreational activities at this beach include paragliding, windsurfing, snorkeling, and volleyball. Thai Massage and reflexology are also offered on the beach.
