This comfortable, modern holiday house is in a quiet cul-de-sac away from the main traffic, and yet only a short drive to anywhere in Kaikoura. There are decks at the front and back of the house and a great indoor/outdoor flow.

The house has most conveniences, with a great kitchen, comfortable beds & furniture, free WIFI, Chromecast, and plenty of off-street parking.

The main living area combines a full-sized kitchen, dining & lounge. While you prepare dinner in the fully equipped kitchen, the other guests can gather around the granite-topped island & join in. The kitchen has a built in oven, ceramic hob, extractor & microwave. The dishwasher, dual sink & waste disposal are built into the central island. The pantry has a decent supply of plates, cups & glasses etc.

There's a 6 place dining table & the lounge features a large comfortable leather lounge suite. We've got a smart TV, Netflix & FreeView. You can bring movies on a USB stick & plug them into the TV. Or you can stream content from your mobile device to the TV.

Sliding doors open out to the front & back decks. The two biggest bedrooms & the study also open to decks.

The bathroom has a sliding door providing access from the master bedroom through the walk-through wardrobe. So it's almost an ensuite. The bathroom has a proper tile and glass shower.

If you want to combine a bit of work with pleasure, the study has a decent sized desk. You can connect to the Internet via wireless or cable.

There is also a fold-up bed if needed.

We are located almost at the end of the peninsula, up top. There's no through traffic, so it's lovely and quiet. It's within walking distance to the beach, the peninsula walkways, the seal colony and 5 minutes drive from the town centre.

While we handle the rental of our holiday home remotely (we live in CHCH), we pass on the rental details to our neighbour, giving the added safety that someone local is usually available to assist. Our neighbour also does deep tissue and relaxation therapeutic massage, foot reflexology and breathing meditation reiki.

Things to Note

No shoes inside.

We clean after you, but we do expect you to leave the place reasonably tidy, with the dishwasher on, and things generally where you found them.

If you use the oven or BBQ, please leave them clean.

You must take your rubbish with you. Kaikoura does not have a rubbish collection service, as part of rubbish minimisation initiative. You can drop your waste into the recycling centre, which you will pass as you leave Kaikoura.

COVID Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to stay because of a COVID lockdown, we will give a full refund.

We have decided on a policy of accepting only vaccinated guests, or those that have a valid exemption. This is to ensure we are doing all we can to protect our guests, our cleaner, not to mention ourselves.

Everyone in our family, and our cleaners, are fully vaccinated.
