"Perfectly pleasant property – all the staff were lovely and location is great – it was very rundown for the price – peeling wallpaper, threabare carpet and despite double glazing it was very noisy from the main road in the room we had. Should add the property was spotless and the breakfast was fantastic.."
"Perfect for a quick stay before an early flight. Check out the 400 year old Ye Olde Six Bells pub, very cool the path to get there is through a creepy graveyard "
"Handy indian restaurant as part of the stay. Breakfast was limited but enough. Beds comfy and enough pillows. The room was very clean and spacious and we used their shuttle service for £15 to the terminal."

We didn't explore Horley itself, but felt perfectly safe walking back from the train station to the hotel when we returned from London. The place is clean, the signs are clear, and people we talked to were nice. This was a great place to stay!

Excellent
From what we saw it had everything thing you would need in the town centre, eateries, supermarket, general shops with a great public transport service.

This was merely a stop off, in transit for a flight. It ticks all the boxes for that purpose.

Quite a few public houses in the area if you wanted to go out and about to eat.
"Great hotel for one night before an early morning flight from Gatwick. The shuttle bus drops you off and picks you up right outside the door of the hotel. "
"My husband & I had to travel from the other end of the country to visit an elderly relative in the nearby hospital, and needed a reasonably-priced last-minute room for 2 nights. This fitted the bill perfectly, and I knew we'd made the right choice when I spoke to the Manager. What a lovely guy: friendly, honest, helpful, straightforward, and so easy to deal with. Many hotel managers could take a lesson from him.
The hotel has only recently been bought by the present owners and needs refurbishment, but we knew that before we went, and the price of the rooms reflects it anyway.
The beds were very comfortable, the room spacious, there was a fridge and a large TV, and it was a nice surprise to find a bath - so many hotels only have showers. There's free WIFI & parking, which is very helpful. Everything in the room was clean, even if not in the best condition (as already explained), but it didn't bother us in the slightest.
Having previously stayed at the Premier Inn just along the road, which was much more expensive and no better in terms of sleep quality (and FAR less friendly!), we'd much sooner return to the London Gatwick Inn when we visit Horley/Salfords again.
Warning! The hotel is not very easy to find due to the house numbers in the road being hard to spot and the hotel signage being quite small as you approach, so look out for the Sainsbury's Local/Petrol Station: the hotel is right opposite. Turn in where you see the No Stopping/Clearway road sign."
