"We stayed here for almost two weeks. Kelly was amazing. She was always whipping up different types of breakfasts. She was so cute and so talkative.
Her food was really good. (If you are like me however, ask for pancakes or french toast or crepes) she loves to cook Mexican style breakfast but it didn’t always sit right with me. Then I told her about and she said, “well you should have told me earlier!” We both laughed. And it was excellent there after.
Her place is very cozy and calm.
I loved how clean everything was and I love that she had the filtered water. I filled my water bottle with it everyday. She had lots of treats and ice creams for us. All included of course!
She was so sweet, I hope to someday go back and bring my adult children. :)
Thank you Kelly! Staying with you made the trip even better!
We love you “Auntie!” Love Kyle and Stef "
Paradise Retreat, POOL, Hot Tub and AC with ECO energy!
10/10 Excellent
"We really enjoyed our stay. It was so nice to have the pool and hot tub and the house had everything we needed for cooking. It’s also quite roomy. It’s about 25 minutes from downtown Hilo, but close to other sites and beaches. "
"We loved our stay at this VRBO! The hosts were quick to address our few questions/concerns. The home was renovated very nicely, had amazing A/C, and was a great gathering place in the evenings for our two families. It is a stones throw from Hilo or Volcano National Park, which was great since Kilauea erupted while we were there. The close stay made it possible for us to get to the park quickly and avoid the long wait to get into the park for those who had to drive. We will gladly stay here again!"
Comfy 2-bedroom 1-bath, in Kea'au near Hilo, WiFi and food forest
10/10 Excellent
"As a writer retreat, which is why we were staying, this place was almost perfect. The host was fantastic, very welcoming and working to make sure our stay was as good as possible. Having stayed in many places across the Big Island, this was very representative of a higher quality place, especially for the price. For a couple, it was perfect. There is a queen and a bunk double bed, so you could sleep six. I think for a small family it would also be great, but four adults might find themselves a little cramped, and three couples would be very tight in the lounge. The flat sits in the top floor of the house, but we heard nothing of the ground floor, and the house is very well protected from the surroundings, so we felt both very secure and private. It was our first time staying in Paradise Park, and the location worked well for us. The local area was actually better served than I worried it might be, with cafes, delis, bakerys and supermarkets within fifteen minutes drive. The drive to Hilo was not as frustrating as I feared it might be, we would drive to the beach every day - but during rush hour, the traffic was pretty terrible. Of course, that's reflected in the price, and for us it was definitely worth it. The extra 20 minutes to Saddle Road did make the drive over to Kona more imposing, and I think if we'd stayed in Hilo town, we might have headed out that way - but it was very well located for the volcano. Absolutely would stay here again and would highly recommend."

"Family had a great time staying at Tony and Samira's Farm. They were super friendly and communicative. Kids loved the farm atmosphere with chickens, sheep, goats, and lots of lizards. They were so thoughtful as to notify us of the volcano eruption happening and we were lucky enough to catch this event!"
