"Our stay at the cottage was magical!! Lisa and Veltry were the sweetest, most amazing hosts. They even brought us a Christmas tree and lights for our little one! They work hard to maintain the property and you can tell! We loved waking up to the roosters and watching the baby pigs run around. We went to the orchard and made some fresh orange juice from oranges we picked on the property. We claimed one of the resident cats as our buddy and gave him love every day! The pool is right outside which makes staying home for a rest day just as fun as going out. The location is amazing and the property makes you never want to leave! Thank you to our amazing hosts! We hope to stay here again one day!"

"We needed a spot within short distance of Volcanoes National Park that could accommodate our family crew of 16 people, and this place was perfect. We had 8 comfortable beds and a giant dining table. Also enjoyed a little time in the backyard pool. Great house for a big group!"

"Everything was great! I do have some suggestions though. We prepared meals most evenings at the house to save a little money. Need a casserole dish or cake pan with higher sides, couldn't roast chicken or salmon in oven.Need more kitchen towels, and hand towels for the bathroom. there were no extras, only what was hanging on the towel bars; "

"Beautiful home, even better than pictures depicted!!! Spacious, clean, great location in Hilo! Host so efficient with communications, helpful and gracious. Absolutely ohana friendly, safe, cool breezes with available fans in every room! Large and well stocked kitchen, great for our group meal preparations! And beautiful yard and foliage! Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"As a writer retreat, which is why we were staying, this place was almost perfect. The host was fantastic, very welcoming and working to make sure our stay was as good as possible. Having stayed in many places across the Big Island, this was very representative of a higher quality place, especially for the price. For a couple, it was perfect. There is a queen and a bunk double bed, so you could sleep six. I think for a small family it would also be great, but four adults might find themselves a little cramped, and three couples would be very tight in the lounge. The flat sits in the top floor of the house, but we heard nothing of the ground floor, and the house is very well protected from the surroundings, so we felt both very secure and private.It was our first time staying in Paradise Park, and the location worked well for us. The local area was actually better served than I worried it might be, with cafes, delis, bakerys and supermarkets within fifteen minutes drive. The drive to Hilo was not as frustrating as I feared it might be, we would drive to the beach every day - but during rush hour, the traffic was pretty terrible. Of course, that's reflected in the price, and for us it was definitely worth it. The extra 20 minutes to Saddle Road did make the drive over to Kona more imposing, and I think if we'd stayed in Hilo town, we might have headed out that way - but it was very well located for the volcano. Absolutely would stay here again and would highly recommend."
