"Host was very responsive to some issues we had. Home is in a nice location, very close to the ocean where we could watch the sunrise each morning. Kitchen had all we needed. Nice grilling area for dinner with the provided grill.No ants or cockroaches, the geckos take care of bugs.Worth the price."

"This is a wonderful place to stay. The ocean is about a half a mile walk down the road. Hilo is about a 30 minute drive. It was nice to have air condition in each of the bedrooms and of course the living room. The front porch was so nice. We had breakfast on the front porch in the morning and it was wonderful to listen to the birds and the breeze. This is a very cozy house. We stayed three nights on the Hilo side and then went to the Kona side. On the Hilo side we went to Rainbow Falls, Akaka Falls, and took a beautiful nature trail hike on Saddle Road, we went to several beaches closer to Hilo, and then we went to the Volcano National Park on our way over to the Kona side. We had a great stay in this home. And it is very well stocked. Thank you, Jerry."

"Enjoyed the room for 2 nights, great location on the shoreline. The neighborhood was clean and safe, local restaurants within 15 minutes drive. Wonderful walking area with peaceful ocean waves. We found a bee keeper nearby and an organic farm for excursions. Thanks for the hospitality!"

"Right on the ocean cliff, unobstructed 180 degree view of ocean, sea spray from waves breaking on lava! There are some things I would like others to know about this property, that is not in the listing. The master bedroom has a king size bed, the driveway is very steep and a taller vehicle may not fit into the garage, there is a full size refrigerator in the garage, so food storage is ample. There is a closet full of beach goodies, including 2 large coolers, 7 beach chairs, 4 beach umbrellas, 2 snorkel set-ups, a set of flippers, many boogie boards . Does no have a barbecue grill and there is no way to directly access the ocean from this house, no stairs or gate. Overall, if you want to be close to the ocean, with the sound of crashing waves, this is the place!"

"My family had the most amazing time. Matt was an incredible host! From all the amenities to opening coconuts for my eager daughter. He showed us all around the property and was very knowledgeable. We will definitely be back and I will tell everyone I know to stay at the amazing house. Thank you for all the hospitality. We are home now and missing it so much "

"There was a shortage of some items which were necessary like enough towels and toilet paper. it would have also been nice to have had a mini split for air conditioning because it was incredibly hot and humid and the overhead fans just did not help much. The cushions on the chairs were not clean and it would have been nice to have at least one or two extra chairs for the dining table, after all, the listing did say up to 6 people. We had 5 and only 4 chairs for table. Otherwise, the house was comfortable. A bonus was the neighbors dogs. They were so cute and friendly. "

"Great family getaway. We enjoyed traveling into Hilo to snorkel, hike the caves, and visit Rainbow falls. We stayed for a week and a half and drove every main highway and stopped at all the state parks. The home was the calm between all the activities. We walk the neighborhood and went down to the park to look and hike around the ocean cliffs. We played cards and cooked together. The locals we ran into were very helpful on where to visit and the best food."
