I didn’t realize how loud this part of town is, but we were pleasantly surprised that our room was relatively quiet even on a Saturday night. The staff were extremely nice and very helpful with recommendations for food. The rooftop pool was also great, but not really our vibe. I would think this hotel would be excellent for those who want to be in the middle of the San Diego night life, but it’s also okay for those going to concerts at Petco Park or seeing the sights.

This is our favorite hotel to stay at. It is a fun location with lots to do in walking distance. The hotel is extremely clean and staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside is the room was very small, but it’s not too bad.

The AC Hotel in San Diego has a perfect location if you’re in town to party, enjoy nightlife, and be close to the action. However, it is not a good choice if you’re looking for a quiet, restful stay. The noise outside did not stop until around 4:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep. Unfortunately, our room was also located next to the ice machine, which was extremely loud throughout the night. Between the street noise and the constant sound of the machine, we barely got any rest. Great location for nightlife, but I would recommend requesting a room away from the ice machine and higher floors if you are sensitive to noise.

The staff was very kind and helpful the entire stay & the hotel itself is very clean and new (minimal carpeted floors which I always look for). The only thing I could see being an issue for some travelers is it is in the heart of the Gaslamp district, so it can get a little loud during the weekends until last call. It was perfect for my little sister and I but is definitely something to consider when booking a place in Downtown SD :) That being said the location was fantastic! Close to so many good restaurants and bars & pretty close to the Padres stadium too!

After reading reviews I was unsure about booking this hotel, my stay was amazing! The staff was very welcoming and provided everything I needed. The hotel is in the heart of gaslamp and every walking accessible to anything in mind. The pool and rooftop bar are both very nice add to relax. Overall a great stay recommended staying here.

Very small but beautiful room. Comfortable bed and well-lit bathroom (one pet-peeve of mine is when I can't do my makeup in the bathroom due to low lighting.) Great view off very small balcony (7th floor - not all floors had balconies). The air could not keep up and it was only May, so we were a little warm going to bed. The street below is very loud (even on a Thursday night), they did have a nose machine which helped a lot!
