"Great staff. Property was beautiful. It is rather large so be prepared to walk a little. They are good about picking you up in golf carts most of the time. We felt the Level experience was well worth the extra money. We were also surprised that they honored the expedia "free room upgrade". We have stayed at other places that list that but never gotten those extra perks. Melia went all out! And the concierge, Yordy, was a great help."

"The resort is expansive, one can get lost easily especially the place needs better directions. The rooms are big and ample. Really appreciated the big bathroom. Rooms service came late for a couple of days, almost at 6pm. Food quality, especially in the buffet areas could be much better in quality and taste. It also lacks diversity, same spread everyday. Specialty restaurants are ok. Today, at breakfast a cockroach crept up from under our table. Pools and the beach were wonderful. We enjoyed them tremendously."

"Property was very clean and the food was excellent but for the most part the staff was not very polite felt like a bother to them and most could not speak English and very hard to communicate with.But when we needed help from the customer service staff they were all excellent to speak to and always had a smile on there faces .Our room had a none working hair dryer and couldn't find the TV remote for the life of me anywhere.And problem was resolved immediately. Nightly entertainment was good on most nights especially the Michael Jackson show and Circus show.Loved the sports bar where I could watch my beloved Montreal Canadiens games while I was on vacation and always had all kinds of food to eat.Never spent time at the pools but they looked very spacious and had all kinds of chairs. The beach was beautiful and you could walk for miles in either direction and all kinds of chairs to lounge on.The seaweed was plentiful but was not a issue for me and was cleaned up on most days.As for the drinks at the bar they always had what I was looking for.And when it came to night time there was only 1 evening that I saw and bugs or mosquitoes and it was on the minimal side. OUR ROOM WAS SPACIOUS BUT ALWAYS DAMP AND OUR CLOTHES ALSO BUT WE JUST USED THE HAIR DRYER TO DRY OUT ."

"Bellboy was more than 15 minutes late to collect our luggage for checkout and we were late for our transfer. We had to go to checkout ourselves with all of our luggage after we waited 17 minutes. We were part of the Preferred Club so that should not have been a problem. Pools were clean and nice. Food was okay. Buffet didn’t have enough serving utensils every time we were there. Despite me being 23 and the drinking age in DR being 18, I was not given any alcoholic drinks probably 70% of the time. Most bars didn’t even ID but still would not give me alcohol. They would just give me daiquiri mix with no rum without saying anything. The infinity pool bar did ID, but it was very annoying to have to leave the pool and go all the way back to my room to get my ID. I can’t carry an ID in my swimsuit and I don’t want to have to carry a bag around the whole resort. The resort should have wristbands or a better way to identify that occupants are over 18 without having to carry around an ID. Jose was a very good concierge, though."

"Great experience — I would highly recommend this place! The only minor annoyances were getting to the lobby. You either have to wait about 15 minutes for a cart to come by, or walk a long way. Other than that, they cart your luggage to your room, which is super convenient. The bars can be a bit slow (it sometimes takes a while to get your drink), but everything else was amazing. The massage was especially top-tier! The rooms were clean, and the staff were all very friendly. It’s also an adults-only vibe with no kids around, which was perfect. The excursions they recommended were awesome too — and those were kid-free as well."

"I recently booked a trip to Punta Cana through Expedia and paid approximately $1,750 for an all-inclusive resort stay. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The representative who was supposed to assist me during my stay spent most of the time trying to upsell me on additional services and excursions instead of actually helping. When I declined the services he was offering, he became upset and eventually stopped responding to my messages or assisting me altogether. It made the experience feel very unprofessional and uncomfortable. On top of that, I was scammed on the beach while trying to book excursions, which added even more stress to the trip The resort itself was also a huge disappointment. The food was honestly disgusting for an all-inclusive resort, and the drinks were very poorly made and tasted terrible. There was barely anything to do at the resort, to the point where I had to rent a car and leave the property every single day just to find entertainment elsewhere because the resort was extremely boring. Room service was also unacceptable. Simple requests took 3–4 hours to arrive, even for basic items. The pool appeared dirty and was not pleasant to use at all. Overall, this was one of the worst vacation experiences I have had, and it did not come close to matching the quality or expectations that were advertised when booking through Expedia. I am requesting that Expedia review this situation and see what can be done"
