"Absolut chaotisch schon beim check-in. Mindestens 6-7 Reihen Gäste versuchen zeitgleich einzuchecken und die Masse reißt nicht ab. Wir haben Stunden auf unser Zimmer gewartet. Insgesamt 4x habe ich mich erneut einreihen müssen. Wir sollten dann als Melia Gold Mitglied ein Upgrade und das gewünschte obere Etagen Zimmer bekommen. Wir erhielten genau das Gegenteil: EG Familienzimmer mit bereits eingebettetem Kinderbett. Die Ausstattung selbst war absolut schlecht und vor allem die Schränke und Schubladen hingen schief. Als wir einen Tisch im italienischen Restaurant reservieren wollten, war natürlich die Reservierungszeit schon um 4pm verstrichen. Das Essen im Steakrestaurant war ok, aber mein angebliches Filetsteak hatte lauter Sehnen. Das Frühstück dann typisch amerikanisch; die Spiegeleier und Kaffee ok, aber alles andere von teilweise unterirdischer Qualität, vor allem das Brot. Insgesamt haben wir die letzten Jahre noch nie so ein schlechtes und chaotisches Hotel gesehen. Wir sind als Vielreisende auch schon oft in spanischen Melia Hotels gewesen und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Auf Grund dieser Erfahrung und des damit verbundenen nicht stimmigen Preis-/Leistungsverhältnisses sind wir überaus enttäuscht."

"Would not recommend. 1) Charge for lost pool towels. First day had my towel stolen from the chair when we were a couple feet away in the pool. 2) Have a cocktail menu, but most of the bartenders don't know how to make the majority of the drinks on it. 3) Have a beer menu with 4-5 beers, but when asked, only 1 was ever available. 4) Had to wait over an hour for our food at the Mexican restaurant, which requires reservations. 5) Ceiling started leaking on second day. Reported it to the front desk. No one every came to look at it. Water pooled in closet & floor in corner of the room. Luckily, it eventually stopped."

"The internet wasn’t great, works only in certain areas and it was slow. We also had flies in our bathroom that appeared to be coming from the drains. I complained about it on the first day but the flies kept coming back. Overall the hotel was great, food was good and the staff were great. "

"Paradisus Grand Cana – Beautiful Resort with a Few Rough Edges We just returned from a family stay at the Paradisus Grand Cana and overall, it was a wonderful trip — though not without some hiccups worth mentioning for fellow travelers. The Room: 10/10 Our Master Suite was absolutely stunning. My husband and I had our own private king bedroom while our kids were comfortably set up in the living area — our daughter on the pullout sofa and our son on a twin cot the hotel brought up for us. The wraparound balcony was a real highlight: beautiful, spacious, and very private. The room itself was spotless and well-maintained throughout our stay. No complaints here whatsoever. The Beach: Excellent The beach was fantastic. We had a dedicated private area to ourselves and the attendants were genuinely attentive — regularly checking in with food, drinks, and water without us ever having to chase anyone down. This was easily the best service experience of the trip. Service: 7/10 — Inconsistent This is where the resort has room to grow. At the restaurants, it became something of a running joke for our family that if you ordered something, you’d receive about 75% of it. One morning my daughter’s Eggs Benedict arrived perfectly; the next morning it came out missing the hollandaise and the side. I’d order a coffee and a mimosa and only the coffee would show up.
