This is a beautiful property! We have been there 3 times so far and each time has been an amazing experience. The main pools are huge so even with a lot of people they don't feel overcrowded. There are plenty of food options so you will never go hungry. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We are a couple and have always gone with family and everybody enjoys themselves. We highly recommend this resort!

The pool was great. The staff was wonderful. The room was comfortable and clean. The beach was terrible. The water was not blue/green and it was so full of seaweed you could not swim in it at all. They did clean it up everyday but the seaweed came back as fast as they cleaned it up. If you want to go into the ocean do not go to this hotel. Everything else was very nice.

The property was okay but not much activity even though you have acero the other property; Barceló Palace but it is a inconvenient. I think that the casino, the bar in the middle of the swimming pool, a small gym and maybe different shows at least on weekends instead of music on a big screen. Food at the buffet I will give a 2 *, the best meal we have was at the Chef’s Gourmet and at the Japanese restaurant. Balcony is small but enough, casino is not in the adult area so we never make it there. Staff is very nice, good people.

Great Experience at Barceló Bávaro Beach! We recently stayed at Barceló Bávaro Beach, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. From start to finish, everything was incredibly well-organized and accessible. The Staff: The team here is highly professional, respectful, and always ready to help with a smile. Their attention to detail really stood out. Facilities & Beach: The beach is breathtaking, and both the beach and pool areas were pristine, orderly, and very easy to navigate. Activities: There was always something fun to do, with well-structured activities that kept things lively but relaxed. Everything was clean, accessible, and perfectly coordinated. We highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to come back!

Our stay was a mix of positives and negatives. Unfortunately, the rooms were outdated, and we had to switch rooms twice due to maintenance issues. One room had a bathtub that wouldn’t drain properly, another had a toilet that wouldn’t flush, and we also found hair in one of the tubs, which was disappointing. On the positive side, we really enjoyed the pool area, and the food was pretty good with a nice variety of options. While the resort has potential, the rooms could definitely use renovations and better housekeeping to improve the overall guest experience.

The hotel itself was very beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. However, the staff was very rude. Anytime you asked a question they were not helpful. However, the people who cleaned my room were very nice and always helpful. This hotel upcharged for everything. In order to get to the front of the hotel you had to pay extra money each time which wasn’t fair. The food was also horrible. I will not be returning here.

Amazing experience! Had the best view from our room. They have every activity possible from a 18 hole golf course to a bowling alley to a water park. They have live shows and activities like karaoke/trivia every night which was a lot of fun. The staff could've been a little more helpful. Spanish is a must. No one speaks English. Lot of food options but the food quality could've been a bit better. Drinks are NOT watered down and you can expect premium liquor as well. Casino was the biggest scam but had the best bar upstairs. Shoutout to the bartender who works the Monday and Friday night shift there. Nightclub is fun but they only play spanish music and maybe 2-3 english songs throughout the night. Also would recommend staying at the beach for a much peaceful experience rather than staying at the palace. Overall would rate the stay 9/10 but would definitely visit again.

Maria Encarna in the Caribe Buffet for both breakfast and lunch is an absolute treasure to Barceló. From the moment you walk into the dining room, she makes every guest feel genuinely welcomed, valued, and cared for. She is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and loving with everyone she meets. What stood out to me just as much was the way she treats her staff. She leads with kindness, respect, and encouragement, creating a warm and positive atmosphere that is felt throughout the entire dining room. Every day, I looked forward to going to lunch because I knew I would see Maria. She always greeted me with the biggest smile and a warm hug, making me feel like family. It’s rare to meet someone who leaves such a lasting impression during a vacation, but Maria did exactly that. She is a true asset to Barceló, and I hope she receives the recognition she so richly deserves for the joy and exceptional hospitality she brings to every guest’s experience.

Its cheaper than others but rooms are outdated. They smell old, mine the toilet had to be replaced during my stay, AC made loud noises all night, TV small and old and no remote. Bed was confy and the staff cleaned it really well. I didn't loose anything. The restaurants that required reservations are a joke except for the Gourmet one its ok, but the buffet has better food than the others. Food is better at the adult one. Drinks are OK. I brought my own alcohol cause whatever they give you makes me sick. They do need more music at the pool, the beach and more entertainment. It was my first time and probably last. The beach was horrible due to the seaweed but I rented a car and went to Bayahibe, much better beach, sand, music/experience but watch out for the high prices. They will try to sell you anything for outrages prices.
