"In comparison to other AI resorts we’ve experienced better. Not much for teenagers to do in the evening. Restaurants were OK. Wish they would take reservations. Seems like that would be a better way to do. The rooms are small but clean. Best experience was over on the heaven side, but need to be 18+ to be over there. Security was very strict about wristbands where it was almost strange. Making you show or scan a wristband for no apparent reason. Most of the staff was fantastic. Also found it odd they charged for so many of the activities like bowling, laser tag, etc. other resorts have been to all of that is part of it."

"The resort is lovely, the building is well laid out, the amenities are great, the food is very good, and there is a wonderful breeze that flows through the lobby. All of this is wonderful and can be replicated in other resorts. But the thing that sets this resort apart is the staff! They are amazing and they care so much! Karen and Natali as concierges, Erik and Roberto assisting at the pool side and at the beach, the entertainment staff of Abigail, Perla, and Edwin were just wonderful. The serving staff at the restaurants were also top notch. Our daughter has celiac disease and an allergy to peanuts. This was noted and carefully catered to at every meal. Suggestions were made for alternatives and each menu had options for her. I would like to specifically recognize Manuel in El Patio, Jose, Teresita, and Bradley in Oceana. This was one of the best family vacations we have had! Thank you!"

"This resort does NOT welcome expedia customers! This resort classifies expedia members by providing a bright yellow bracelets to expedia members! Once emplyees sees the bright yellow bracelets they ignored us and give priority to their members! They also give expedia members ripped dirty beach towels, corner rooms with stained floors , mold in the showers, no drawers in bedroom, as they give priority to members when it comes to restaurant reservations, expedia members dont get the chance to eat at their various restaurants because they are always booked according to the resort. The resort is high on requesting tips for everything.if ypu dont tip dont expect to get drinks on time, angel at the pool bar refused to add chili powder to one of my drinks but to members of the resort it was okay ! I do not recommended this hotel to anyone safe your money for a better more welcoming resort who really care about their customers as a whole including expedia members ! Avoid feeling like an outcast from the treatment from Employees starting with people at the reception!! "

"We loved every minute of our stay at Real Del Mar. It is an ideal location with a pool and the beach. We loved walking down to the PA Beach Club and into town for dinner and excursions. Everything is within walking distance. We would love to go back soon!"

"No water at the condo bc the tank went out/then the hot water. After 2 days they managed to get more water pressure and hot water but still not enough for 5 guests. But the icing on the cake were the TWO HIDDEN CAMERAS INSIDE the unit. VRBO said they would be refunding all our money bc they couldn’t place us anywhere else bc it was 5 of us in Mexico for spring break. Puerto Aventuras was excellent as always…but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a rental. To this moment, I have not received my full refund that was promised. Worst worst experience ever"

"This location was amazing. I can't say enough about the view, the amenities and the home itself. We had great communication with the property manager at all times. We have been to Puerto Aventuras numerous times but never stayed a Villas del Mar. We will definitely return! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home!"

"Very nice StayMy wife and I stayed for 3 weeks at Serge and Laurianne’s condo. The unit was well stocked with everything that we needed. We liked the location of the condo as we could walk easily to the marina area where all the restaurants and bars are located. We enjoyed having direct access to the beach. The heated pool was very nice also as it was a little bit cool the first week of our stay. The people that stayed in the same complex were all very nice and we enjoyed there company. The only slightly negative was the sargassum washing up on the beach, but that happens everywhere in the Caribbean. The grounds keepers did a nice job trying to clean it up, they also keep the grounds up really nice, and they were all very polite. We hope to stay here again in the future."
